The guttering is to long in back side, the end cap is loose and not sealed, and front side guttering is leaning. The fascia was not completely replaced and paint chipped off. We have requested from Clayton to address issues and he bold faced lied and said he replaced exactly what was requested. Why would I only want part of the fascia replaced?

The installation was fast and efficient. Originally was scheduled for 2 days but they completed it in one long day. My only complaint is they are not very responsive and hard to pin down on schedules. Granted, weather plays a big part in their work but communication with the customer should be more of a priority. Their price was the best out of 4 estimates.

ROBCO had the best price. I had used them for two smaller jobs a few years ago and the quality was fine. This was a large job for our church. I stuck my neck out for them based on the fact that they had done a good job before and the price was good. One of the worst mistakes I ever made!!! If you want to deal with incompetent, rude, non responsive, arrogant, unprofessional, nontrustworthy, underhanded and unethical roofers, pick ROBCO. The hispanic guys that climb the roof and do the work are as hard working as you will find. The problem with ROBCO is the owner, his son and their supervision. Luckily for the church, I have a pretty good breadth of knowledge in roofing and I do a lot of research and ask questions. Based on the number of issues and inaccuracies, ROBCO may be used to dealing with folks that don't know much and fall for their constant and quot;inaccuraciesand quot; and making it up as they go along. I cannot speak to the inflated billing practice beyond what is on this case, but I certainly hope that is not a standard practice.
This one started out bad. When I worked with them before I had trouble with communications and responsiveness, but the work was good. In order to help avoid that problem, I scheduled a preperformance meeting so that ROBCO, William Roberts, supervisor and the church trustees could meet and go over everything to ensure there was a clear understanding of what we were expecting and we knew how they were going to do things. We scheduled the meeting in advance and I confirmed it by telephone, text and email. They stood us up. ROBCO finally showed up 3 hours late. When I was finally able to get up with William Roberts he first told me that he was right down the road and he would be there in 10 minutes (already an hour late). Then they send a another employee that had NO IDEA what we wanted, what was in the proposal, what we are using, etc, and although Roberts told me he would be there in 10 minutes - he was in VIRGINIA. The rest of the job went along the same lines. They broke a window and trampled one of the ornamental bushes and denied it, although there were shingle marks on the windows and they were not damaged before they arrived. They denied damaging the roof mounted spot lights which iluminate the cupola, although all three worked before they started. Make your own conclusion. ROBCO's response was that the church members were liars and they were not responsible for any of the damage. In addition, ROBCO was given specific instructions as to how the barrel dormer was to be framed and redecked using 2x4 lumber framing. They were also told to let the church trustees know when they got to that part of the job in order to observe, which they didn't. Instead of following the directions of the church, they chose to jack leg it, by cribbing small pieces of 1and quot; roof decking on edge to the existing rafters held up enough to put OSB down to match the level. Totally wrong and not as directed. These are just a few of the problems which we had with ROBCO.
At the conclusion of the job ROBCO provided a bill which included a charge for $1,720 additional dollars for 576 feet of 1x6 wood replacement. As part of their estimate they were to replace damaged or broken wood decking. 10 sheets of plywood were asked to be included in the estimate, which they got paid for and did not use, as the decking was actually 1x6 lumber. William Roberts made the bad assumption that the ceiling was cathedral and we could not inspect the underside of the roof decking, therefore, we would be unable to dispute his charge for replacement of 576 feet of 1x6 decking. Fortunately for the church, we are able to access the underside of the decking and we were able to document ALL wood replacement (as well as numerous pieces that were damaged and should have been replaced and were not). The total wood decking was approximately 60 - 70 feet, not anywhere close to the 576 which they billed us for.
After confirming the actual board replacement as well as attempting to resolve the other damage issues, we again scheduled a meeting with ROBCO. We attempted to meet with the owner, but he would never accept or return a call, so his son, WIlliam (Who claims to be the owner, and may well be but not worth trying to determine) was to meet with us. A meeting was scheduled and confirmed and they again failed to show up. I finally reached William Roberts on the phone and he proceeded to curse me, scream and rant and threaten to and quot;kick my a**and quot;. This went on for an extended period of time and was repeated twice more through the night. After he directed me to not contact him, he called me and continued his threats.
If all of that was not enough...... The roof leaked and we had to spread tarps in the attic to protect the ceiling. They finally came out a number of weeks later and appear to have stopped the leaking, but we will continue to carefully monitor the roof for additional leaks. They failed to honor other promises that they had made such as reattaching a loose gutter downspout and caulking/sealing a row of leaking gutter.
Never Again.... And this is the condensed version leaving out quite a few of the other issues and problems. I would not recommend ROBCO to anyone.

Great experience. Very happy with crew and roof. Found several nails in the gutters but overall they were very focused on keeping things clean. They clearly know their work and did a great job with installation. Highly recommended.
