Simon has been great for us. We recently purchased a house that we need to rent for a few years before moving in. Never had a rental property before. Simon has been very helpful, responsive, and patient every step of the way and has worked hard to get our first tenant with an appropriately tailored lease. Exceptional!

We chose Simon at WNC to manage our newly purchased home in Asheville. We narrowed down the choice to 4 companies. After speaking to all four on the phone, we selected two for personal interviews at the house. One of the interviews was with the prominent well known property management company serving Asheville, the other with Simon of WNC. Simon won for a couple of simple reasons. He is a prompt and effective communicator, always quick to respond. The big company responded a full week later with a lazy excuse. Simon was very clear that he wasn't looking for volume but looking for quality properties, quality owners, and quality tenants. We signed on in November and have been very pleased since. His company managed the listing of our property, managed the transition between previous owners (a lengthy punch list and cleaning), and the tenants that he managed to quickly market and secure for an 18 month lease. Simon is professional, is a prompt communicator and thus far has surpassed our expectations. It's hard to ask for more than that!

Simon has far exceeded my expectations and outperformed other PMs for the 3 properties my wife and I own. He answered all my questions and concerns, found the perfect tenant very quickly, and has provided excellent communication and customer service for all my needs. It's hard to leave a home that you've lived in and fixed up for four years, but with WNC's service I don't worry about the property being well maintained and managed anymore.

Cannot say enough about Simon Tisman's professionalism and interpersonal skills. His company's fee is very fair, he manages all aspects of the rental contract and uses an electronic system that makes everything very simple and cost effective for everyone. For some time now Simon/ WNC Property Management has been maintaining our property.
It's really hard to describe in words how grateful we are to have Simon taking care of our home; Simon takes care of our house like it is his own.

I couldn't be happier with the service I've received from Simon and crew at WNC Property Management. My dad was considering renting out his home so I contacted Simon for assistance. He gave me a thorough appraisal and assured me they would take care of everything necessary to get the house ready. His team completed all the cleanup, painting, and repairs at a very reasonable price. Everything is thoroughly documented on their password-protected website so you can see exactly what your expenses are. They also took professional pictures to market the property and took care of the tenant screening. All for a very fair price. WNC Property Management is a totally "turn key" service. Once you give Simon the green light, he takes care of EVERYTHING. He comes across as very professional and trustworthy. If you're looking for a property manager, look no farther. I highly endorse this company!

Simon has a very efficient system set up for managing rental property. As long distance owners of a home, we relied on him to find new tenants and to address any issues that may arise. He was able to locate qualified tenants within a couple of weeks of our engaging him and communicates with us online or by phone as necessary. His initial survey of our home and our needs was very complete and he has handled all aspects of management in a very professional and timely manner.

My experience has been outstanding so far! I spent a lot of time researching other management companies, talking to not only companies, but with tenants renting from these companies. In my experience, a lot of companies grow so large that everyone (tenants and property owners) just become numbers on a spreadsheet. A personal touch is lost when you do not have time and staff in place to handle the details of a transaction. With WNC Property Management, there seems to be the right number of personnel in place to dedicate time to both tenants and property owners. I know when I call, someone will either pick up the phone, or return my call within a few minutes. Even if it is a small issue that does not need immediate attention, it is always handled promptly.
Simon, with WNC Property Management, is a smart and creative entrepreneur. He has a model in place that cut a lot of cost associated with traditional companies and he passes that savings to the property owners. Their rates are VERY competitive with their competition. I would say one of the lowest rates, if not the lowest, in town. It's amazing the level of care, concern, and value you receive for your money!

I want you to know that I really appreciate your attention to detail. I appreciate that you listened to my concerns about our future tenants and put my wishes into action when sifting through applicants. I like that you did the move-in inspection right away, rather than waiting till later. I also continue to appreciate your spot-on advice on rental housing matters, since I?m new to this world. Your willingness to be prompt and attentive to detail was one of the main reasons I went with your company rather than the other group I interviewed. Even though your company charges a bit more, (the other company didn?t collect 1/2 the first month?s rent, just the % of monthly rents collected) I think these qualities will help you build a strong business with a client base that really cares about how their properties are managed. Once the property was listed, Simon visited it so that he could appropriately market it. He gave us an opportunity to review and revise the advertisement for the listing. Once the property listing went live, Simon worked diligently to get a renter in. In fact, he had a new tenant for us the week after the property went on the rental market. Once the tenant was in, Simon made sure to do a detailed move-in checklist that included documenting pictures for future reference. When the tenant wanted to get a dog, Simon made sure that we were in agreement with it and got the necessary deposit and paperwork.
All told, Simon has been very diligent in his efforts of managing the property. He understands and takes seriously his role as intermediary. When the tenant has a question or issue, they call him and he contacts us. Of all the property managers that we have worked with, he is the one in whom we are the most confident. Our experience thus far leads us to believe that the care of our property is in good hands.

The value, personal attention and ease we have found with WNC Property Management has far exceeded our expectations- and my husband and I are picky when it comes to customer service! They've proven to be proactive and consistently quick responders in all of our communications. In less than 6 months we were so impressed with the value they offered and how easy it is to work with them that we decided to have them take over and manage EVERYTHING that we had been doing ourselves. They are way better than we ever were at finding responsible tenants and it really matters that that are so skilled at selectively screening applicants in person and handling all they types of issues that could ever come up with tenants. It's also helpful that they don't require any "out of pocket" or upfront costs in listing properties. We like how technologically savvy they are because we prefer to be paper free and they do online rent collection and allow for us to log in any time to see statements online.

From the start, Simons communication was "spot on". He got back to me in minutes, rather than days. We reviewed my current contract and lease against his services. He took the time to review the differences and answer any questions I had at any time. Upon taking over the management he started a dialogue with my tenant, and scheduled a meeting with him, to perform a detailed house inspection. All the information was sent to me digitally within a few hours of the inspection. My prior provider never offered this service. Then Simon and I set aside a time to discuss the inspection. He called when he promised!!! What a refreshing change!!! Since then, he has been in contact with the tenant, issued a new lease, and handled the small repairs that we deemed necessary at this time. It's on HIS list to follow up about some maintenance projects for the spring. For the first time in years I feel a sense of ease. It's his "baby" now, yet he seems to understand that I still want to be kept abreast of what's going on. While we have only been associated for a short time, I feel Simon and his team are on their way to exceeding my expectations.
One side note: Simon has sense of humor if you seek it out. For me... that's always a welcome light. I'm trying to plan a trip to Asheville to meet him and visit the house. ( plus enjoy some great local food and warm..welcoming people) I teased Simon, that I thought he " was my brother from another mother" . Simon was called in because we had to move at the last minute to another state to attend to a number of personal matters. Not only did he facilitate in all aspects of rental arrangements but managed a significant number of repairs to our new home that the original contractor failed to complete. All activities were not only coordinated by Simon and his staff but were executed on a very tight timetable to allow a new tenant to rent our home. He has the staff, the followup and his communication is peerless. We would without hesitation recommend Simon and WNC property management for any of your rental or property management needs. They even setup my caretaker with an online system for tracking day-to-day activities, entering his work hours, material costs, receipts, etc. Once I review and approve costs, they pay him electronically every two weeks so I don’t have to write checks.
