They're great and the vet is highly qualified. They're not all about the money and the service was amazing. She's really good about answering questions, friendly and she's good with animals. When you bring your pet, she'll act like she's the owner like she kisses them or hugs them. They not cheap but they have a lower price than the others.

Dr. Sinclair is a cavy expert! She is incredibly knowledgeable that it's like she could write an encyclopedia entry on these little critters. She gave me information about the species that I had never known before. Plus, she has a wonderful and engaging personality. While I was in there, I found out that she does acupuncture treatments on pets! I thought that this was something offered in only larger cities but I'm so pleased that if my pet needs acupuncture, I know exactly where to go.
One other thing that really impressed me about her is that it's clear that she loves animals and is passionate about her work. Here is someone who identified a calling early in life, pursued it and is making a positive difference in the lives of her patients and their owners. I'll be back for certain! I thought she was great.

I had a puppy that had Parvo and was recovering but getting real dehydrated so I wanted to get some IV fluids to hydrate him and then administer the herbal and holistic stuff that I use for it to be absorbed better. They agreed to the IVs and vit B, and the vet told me that they would do a blood test to see if it was viral or bacterial as the Parvo test came out negative. Parvo came out negative because I had been treating him for that with the herbal formulations I had that have a 95% success rate. The vet never called to tell me about the blood test with elevated white blood cell count and that she was going to add the antibiotic IV as she knew I was against pharmaceuticals and would have said no...to wait and see if simply hydrating would do the trick. So she starts the antibiotic IVs and gives him a shot of the GI medicine that I also did not agree upon since I wanted to see the side effects that it could have which they never did show me. I go to visit him later that day and find out that she had started the antibiotics without my consent as they never called to tell me. Once antibiotics get started, you have to continue through the whole course of them or the bacteria can get more virulent. So, I was forced to administer oral antibiotics at home to continue through the course of the medicine recommendations even though I am not for conventional medicine and the chronic problems it creates in the long run. The vet also had given my pup a shot that I did not agree to for the GI region as mentioned above. They tried to charge me for this upon pick up, and and I refused to pay the extra stuff that I did not agree to which was way over what the estimate sheet I signed for amounted to. I feel that the vet and clinic is not at all holistic, even acting derisive when reading the bottle of herbal formulation that I wanted to use post IV fluids. I do not think they really know and quot;holisticand quot; protocols or care to adhere to the natural way which may take longer but saves the health of the animal in the long run. The former owner Dr. Jeff Smith who sold the clinic recently was a holistic practitioner and cared to learn about things that worked naturally. He did not argue with you or make you feel bad that you did want to follow conventional protocols. I think it is important that the vet (any vet) listen to what the owner's requests are and talk and work with them if they see otherwise. In light of the fact that this is supposed to be a holistic clinic, I would rate this place low as a holistic clinic and seek another vet if you truly want to follow a more natural and holistic path for your animal care needs.

We had both of our cats teeth cleaned and unfortunately they had to have several teeth removed. Our older cat had kidney problems and we had to have her put down because she was in pain. They did shots and general health exams on our cats. Dr. Jeff is very compassionate and will go out of his way to find solutions for your pet. We love the fact that his services are holistic and that he only uses traditional medications when absolutely necessary. Angie his assistant went out of her way to make the process of putting down our older cat reverent and respectful. Dr. Jeff is very quick to answer after hour emails and to make sure that his patients are doing well after treatment. Vetcetera goes out of their way to make you and your pets feel special. We are grateful for the care they have given our cats and making the experiences pleasant.

My 3-year old lab/heeler mix injured his front shoulder back in January and continued to re-injure it over several months. It was obvious he was in pain and his limp became severe just prior to my needing to leave for a trip for 3 weeks with my dog. Dr. Jeff Smith was able to fit us in at the last minute and gave a very thorough examination with a number of well-thought out ideas which would be much less invasive than surgery. We tried a laser acupuncture treatment along with an herbal supplement, with a conventional pain medicine as a back-up. The herbal supplement turned out to be very effective and within a matter of weeks, my dog's limp improved dramatically and he is back to his old self now. We never needed the pharmaceutical, but it was reassuring to have it as a back up.
I do a lot of research myself and I was extremely impressed with Dr. Smith's level of knowledge about holistic alternatives in addition to conventional treatment. It was also obvious that he has a lot of concern and compassion for his clients (4-legged and 2-legged). I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a truly integrative, highly-skilled veterinarian.
