Under pretext of clearing overgrowth they came in and butchered healthy limbs on 3 trees including a majestic hemlock we had successfully treated for wooly adelgid. No excuse for the damage done to our yard, or the debris left lying around. Totally exploited a situation.

While doing the work listed above, employees of Timber Tree Service, then located at 1023 Charlotte Highway, Fairview North Carolina dropped a large limb on my fence causing $377 in damage. The owner acknowledged the fact his people did the damage and in fact told another customer his people had damaged my fence and he had fired the crew that did the damage. Brett Carliiss, who presented himself as the owner of Timber Tree. repeatedly committed to at first repairing the damage and then to pay for the damage. I gave him the fence company's estimate and he again committed to paying for the damage. In an attempt to help him out, I even offered to let him work off the cost of the repair by topping off another tree on my property they had quoted. After not showing up to do the work on multiple occasions and after committing to repair or pay to have the fence repaired on multiple occasions but not doing so, I turned the claim into his insurance company. When I told Brett I had turned the claim into his insurance company, which he had earlier invited me to do, he launched into a profanity filled tirade, called me all sorts of profane names, and hung up on me.
His insurance company advised me the damages were less than the deductible on his policy and he would have to make good on it. They also told me they were unable to get in contact with Mr. Carliss and I should take him to small claims court which I will have to do to get him to pay for the damages his employees caused.. I turned the claim into my home owners and as I have a deductible I had to pay for most of the repair out of my pocket. I had Mr. Carliss provide me with a copy of his proof of insurance before they started the work, but I have had no luck in having Brett Carliss pay for the damage his employees caused which fall under the deductible portion of his policy. I would recommend to anyone who has tree trimming or felling work to be done to NOT use this company. Any damage they cause that Brett has to cover out of his pocket, may prove difficult to collect based on my experience. It's worth noting I have known Mr. Carliss for nearly twenty years and have used his company several times in the past, so it's not like we were strangers. The Timber Tree location on Charlotte Highway, which is where the business was located when I dealt with them, appears to no longer be occupied by Timber Tree and the last time I was past that location all I could see was the companys office, cut into two pieces and wrapped in plastic.

Really excellent service in every respect. The company responded very promptly to our call, did all the work as promised, and did so so unobtrusively that I was not even aware they had come. He returned a couple of days later to get his check, which I was happy to pay.

They were very good and I would highly recommend them. They did it and they did it well and caused minimal damage to the soil below. I was entirely happy. The price was inexpensive.

Overall an excellent experience. Slight damage was done to the neighbors fence. It was repaired within 24 hours. To coordinate with the neighbor the lighting struck tree had to be scheduled on another day. Timber Tree had to reschedule that day and communication from them about that could I have better.

It went very well. I had seen Timber's guys take out some neighbor's trees, and I was impressed with their efficiency and neatness, so I asked them to give me an estimate. I've had other tree services out for estimates, and Brett offered the best price. He was also very respectful and polite and explained the process to me. I felt really comfortable. When my neighbor asked for a certificate of insurance, the office got those sent right away. The scheduling and communication was great. The crew was very polite, waving to my little boys who watched every move and each new truck. They also made sure to protect my yard, working around plants and moving things, setting logs over a pipe in the ground. I had not thought to do that. Because of the boys, I had the opportunity to watch all the action and I was impressed with their communication and teamwork. Guys on the ground signaled to the guys cutting and chipped branches as soon as they were dropped. They seemed focused and safe.
