I paid them in advance and the person who deposited the money forgot to tell the cleaning lady that I was coming a day early. When I went in to sign the lease it was an extra $40.00 per month and there was an extra $10 charge for a "view." After speaking with multiple people in the complex everyone is paying differently. It seems like they are just trying to get as much money as possible. I did win the argument in the end and I am paying what they originally quoted. I then received a letter from the apartment manager, Heather Riggs, for disturbance by actions and for prohibited conduct. It said that my behavior was disrupting regular business.
