ROGER DAVIS CO INC

We had been waiting for dry weather that usually occurs in October. Because it was so wet all summer, we delayed as long as possible and then started. I called Roger and he arrived the next day with his grader. He and his helpers cleared the areas next to the driveway of growth. He then used his grader to reestablish the limits of the road. Because we have part of the drive in asphalt he was concerned about bringing heavy trucks across it. This turned out to not be a problem. In all, we added a little over 300 tons of stone that was spread very expertly by the truck drivers. Roger used the grader to eliminate any high spots. He then used a compacting roller to compress the stone into a hard, consistent surface. Roger had originally created this driveway in 1993. It had held up very well over the years, but needed work now. Based on the work done, Roger came in about 20% under his original estimate.
