Caldwelll charged far, far more than other ballpark estimates. Yes, my bad for not getting a written quote and for being desperate with no water but $5,500 to just replace a well pump is outrageous, predatory, and unjustifiable for a 1.5hp pump. If you can wait a day or two, you’ll be money ahead avoiding Caldwell!

Amazing service. Fast, efficient, and they found the problem immediately. An hour after our call, we had water again. They came quickly, found and replaced a burned out switch, and only charged $160.

We were totally out of water when I called Caldwell's. They put us on priority and a crew showed up within an hour. They were professional, friendly and totally explained everything they needed to do with an approximate estimate. They got to work immediately and installed a new pump. I would call Caldwell's immediately before I would call anyone else. Excellent company and great people to work with.

Everything about their service was exemplary, from the time we called them to the end of the process. They returned my call within 20 minutes, and they were at our place within the next hour with everything they could possibly need to do the job, which they did efficiently and professionally. This was the best home service we have experienced in the 15 + years we have owned our home here. I only wish that all service companies operated at this level. We will be telling all of our friends and acquaintances with private wells to put Reuben Caldwell Drilling Inc. at the top of the list if they need anything related to a well.

I've used Caldwell's since I've lived in Leicester over the last 15 years. They've replaced my well pump as well as trouble shot for me. I have been very pleased with all my dealings with them and will definitely continue to use them, as well as recommend them.

I awoke Saturday morning to discover that I had no running water. After consulting Angie's List, I called Reuben Caldwell drilling. To my surprise, "James" who answered the phone, said they could come out immediately. They arrived within the hour and opened my well head. They discovered that a pipe had broken and was pouring water back into the well. They hoisted the well pump to the surface, repaired the pipe and restored my running water in a little over an hour. Since the well pump is only three years old, they did not try to convince me to replace it. I thought that the repair cost of $275 was reasonable, since it required a two-man crew and the work was performed on a weekend. I was extremely satisfied with the entire experience and would recommend this company to anyone in need of service for a water well.

Jeff was wonderful to work with. For our well water issues he recommended a water purification system and a water softener. He had the water tested first to make sure what he recommended would work and the overall price came in lower than expected. The install team had a very cramped area to work in and made adjsutments as necessary. They did a beautiful and professional job. I would definately call them again for any water/well isssues.

Caldwell Drilling was called upon to come repair a broken water line feeding into our house. It was a bit of a crisis situation in that upon going into our lower level early in the morning it was quickly discovered that water was pouring into our basement. Fortunately shutting off the well pump stopped the flow and while we began the cleanup a neighbor used his contacts to come up with a recommendation for repairs, that being Caldwell Drilling. We were extremely pleased that after a couple of calls Caldwell was able to free up a crew from 30 miles away and send them our way. In the meantime I had unearthed the problem area and upon arrival the plumbers were able to quickly confirm the joint causing the leak and expertly repair the rather awkward piping arrangement. The promptness with which Caldwell responded and the professionalism of the repair work itself were topnotch, and all at a very fair price.

Jeff was prompt in response to my initial call. I felt he did an excellent job analyzing the problems. I took his advice to upgrade my filtration system, and we set a date for him to come out and upgrade for me.
And I was pleasantly surprised when he called the next business day and said his crew was available that day.

Jeff and team responded to my call promptly with an accurate assessment of the problem and completed the repairs same day. We required a new pump, pressure tank and control box. The installers were courteous taking every precaution to minimize any damage to our lawn. I recommend this provider without hesitation. Professional, on time, on budget and trustworthy.
