My pedicures have been so-so.....not the best quality I've every had, probably not the worst. My problem, however, is how they treated my mother the last time she went there. When my brother dropped her off for a manicure and picked her up an hour later, he was shocked to see what they did to her: they "tweezed" her nonexistent eyebrows and painted on horrendous, dark brown eyebrows, and they weren't even at that! They took advantage of a little old lady who didn't know any better. She was just being polite and going along with whatever they suggested because she couldn't understand what they were talking about. It took a couple of months for the embarrassing mess to wear off. Neither of us has been back there since.

When I've gone for pedicures, it was so-so. The quality of the job wasn't the best I've ever had, but not the worst. What really turned me off, however, was what they did to my mother. My brother dropped her off for a manicure and picked her up an hour later, only to find they tweezed her (nonexistant) eyebrows and painted on horrendous, dark brown eyebrows, and they were uneven at that! It's inexcusable that they took advantage of my mother, who did not know what was going on. She just went along with it because she couldn't understand them. It took two months for those clown eyebrows to wear off. Needless to say, neither of us have gone back there since.

I had a tear in a nail and asked that the tech be very gentle...only to have my severely broken nail filed and peeled from my nail bed. I felt like I was not heard at all....and I was a good customer, usually paying $10 tip on a $35 bill.  NOT HAPPY.

it took a long time and I had to wait while they worked on other customers at the same time working on me.  nails did not stay on long either.

Manicurist was new, unprofessional ... hurried through manicure, inattentive, talked to associates.

These folks are great!!  I am new to Asheville and after a couple of other places have found my home. All staff here are wonderful and really do a great job for nails and waxing.

I went three times and finally gave up.  They charge $5-$10 more than I usually pay but I hoped it would be worth it.  The only thing I liked was that they use the disposable plastic liners in the pedicure tub.

The first time I went, the polish didn't stay on my toes more than a day.  It told them about it when I went back for another manicure and pedicure and the lady in charge said the nails must not have been dried well enough.  She instructed the nail tech to dry my nails better before applying polish.  The polish did last the second time but they did not offer any discount or compensation for the previous messy job I had to put up with.

The last time I went, the nail tech cut the skin in my finger in the process of clipping my nails.  It took a week to heal.  They must not train the nail techs well.  I did not appreciate always being paired with the latest untrained nail tech instead of the more mature nail techs.  I finally gave up and went somewhere else.

Everything was great. A bit difficult to understand on the phone, so I was worried our large group wouldn't have a reservation that I made. But everything was fine and they were expecting us. Spa treatment (leg massage) varied based on the person giving them, but they did a good job getting us all in and done in 2 hrs. 7 people.

It was so good that I've been back twice and will be going again next week.  She is always on time and is absolutely delightful.  The best nail salon ever!!!  It took me awhile to get used to having brows since my hair was always pale blonde and has turned grey with some blonde.  If I don't use something, it looks like I'm tired since my eyes don't stand out.  Tracy was so right.  The salon is clean and well organized.  The location is off the main road so parking is easy.  I am very pleased with Paradise Nails.

This company advertises no appointment is necessary, I went in without an appointment and had the expectation I would be willing to wait or return if necessary. I am new to the area so the Angie's List recommendations helped me decide where I would visit. The store is clean, does not reak of chemicals. I was greeted upon entering. I asked about a 'shellac' manicure and was told they could apply the treatment. The service was performed well, the nail tech did nick me twice while removing cuticles. I was slightly concerned that she continued without applying a styptic pen or rinsing the nail scissors. My reason in giving the lower scores was that I was consistently moved from nail tech to nail tech. Before I had left three (3) separate nail techs worked on my manicure. I found this offending as they each continued to ask me generic/personal questions, "where do you work" was asked each time. It's not the worst nail salon by any means, just perhaps the most impersonal.

I found Paradise Nails on Angie's List and decided to give them a try. I just moved here and was looking for a nail salon near my home that uses OPI products. My first visit I came for an acrylic fill, but ended up with a new set of pink and white's. That was a great suggestion by Chris, because they have  stood up much better than my old acrylics, and I am in the pool daily and have even been digging in the dirt without gloves. My nails are still shiny and haven't chipped one bit, and it has been almost two weeks! My 18 year old daughter came for a visit, so yesterday we went for pedicures and she also got a manicure with shellac. It wasn't nearly as busy as my first visit. The salon is very relaxing - soft music, a water feature, and very cool sinks! They also use one-time use liners in the pedicure tubs - very clean and sanitary! It has been a good experience both visits.

All my work has been done by Helen, and she has done an excellent job for me several times now. The gel nail polish lasts a full 2 weeks, without chipping at all. It's a clean, attractive nail salon, and she did great work. I highly recommend her. Prices also seemed reasonable.
