As stated the powerhead was cutting off and coming back on, the person taking the vaccum in told me it sounded like a short and sounded like she knew what she talking about, I decided to have the vaccum repaired based on the estimate provided, (which took a week to get). Oreck kept the vaccum for a MONTH when I finally got it back it was still cutting off and on. I took it back and was told that there was a short in the hose. I was under the impression that this had been repaired and stated so. Oreck then quoted me another 250.00 to replace the hose. When you add the 150.00 and 250.00 for repairs I could have bought a new vaccum, and it just sounded like a scam to me. Why it was not fixed in the first place is a mystery to me. Not only did they keep it a MONTH, but now I have a vaccum still not repaired and out 150.00. Makes me wonder what kind of company this is.
