I met with Chris and went over the scope of the work to be done, he agreed to arrive the next week and begin work, which he did. He brought two painters with him, was there on time, covered hardwood floors accordingly and finished right on schedule. I will use Chris again in the future. Nice guy, good value, did what he said hw was going to do.

He contracted with an electrician and overall they did a fine job. The only thing is that it appears that the wiring was not quite right. The wall switch for the light turns on/off the fan and the wall switch for the fan turns on/off the light. It's not a big deal but concerns me about using this business for bigger more complicated jobs.

Since my last posting to Angie's List, Mr. Chris Lawson has met no part of the resolutions we agreed to. I should not have revised my original posting until after Mr. Lawson had complied with our agreement.

Over all, it was a good experience and I would contract him,again.

Called to have above services performed for simple home improvements. Recieved a quote which was very acceptable and was in our time frame. Crew came in and began painting projects-not covering anything up with dropcloths - including toilets, washing machine and dryer, freezer, etc. Resulting with paint on several of those items plus several personal items. The crew failed to remove any hardware in the house, instead they painted over the hardware, some of which was brand new right out of the package. They also painted the cabinet doors closed, resulting in wood being torn from cabinets when attempting to reopen and the windows painted shut in one room, now they are not able to be opened at all. When they prepared the walls for paint and patched holes they did not sand over the putty before applying the next coat of paint resulting in uneven and visually unappealing walls. When we recieved our estimate I was told how much paint to buy for each room, now ending up with over $100 worth of leftover paint, which will end up benefiting us since we have to repaint all the walls. Once we pointed these items out to us, we were told that for some extra expenses they could arrange another painter to come in and fix the walls; that they messed up. Several personal items were also damaged by employees that we were never informed of. These items include window screens, a Longerberger basket and dents in our Maytag washing machine. The washing machine seems to be damaged due to someone standing on top of it to reach the tops of our cabinets. The Longaberger basket, we found had been painted on and someone had tried to remove the paint. Lawsons took the basket home to see if he could remove the paint there, and when he returned it to us the paint was gone, but so was the entire finish on the basket. On the hardwood flooring installation the crew is inexperienced- not knowing how to cut a simple door jam out with a jam saw (note picture), they also damaged several pieces of the hardwood while installing the staples and did not want to fix them immediently wanting to rather "wood putty" our new hardwood flooring. They stained several pieces of hardwood with either paint remover or some other type of solevent and concerete mix. When the crew cut out vent holes in the floor, rather than throwing the trash away they swept it down the vent, including a broken saw blade they used while cutting the sections out. The crew also used my kitchen sink with dishes in it to wash paint brushes without our consent. They also used personal towells, cleaning supplies, and dish sponges to clean messes made while on different tasks. The owner told us that he would fix all the problems that we had but we were so exhausted with worrrying what would be next we just stopped all of our projects with this business. Chris Lawson is a very friendly and likable person and we wish that our objectives were met but unfortunatly they were not.
