Extremely well. I now have a contract with them for treatment every year. I could not be more pleased with this company and their employees.

Let me start by saying that this is my first experience with a negative review on Angie's List, and I am normally a glass 90% full kind of person. We called Dodson, and were actually very optimistic, due to strong reviews on this site. I talked to Vince, and informed him of a ladybug infestation. His verbatim response on my voicemail was, "I can help you with that." When he came out to the house, he reaffirmed that, and we signed the contract. When he came out for the first treatment, he said "we can't treat for ladybugs." And then, without my even asking, he had the audacity to try to sell me a $1000 plus preventive termite contract. And then, if that alone wasn't enough, I called him back after we saw carpenter bees, and he tried to sell us on the idea of paying $525 for a one time treatment that was only guaranteed for 60 days. We moved here from a city with a much higher cost of living, and were still astonished at this blatant price gouging! As of right now, we are still under contract with these people, but my best advice to Angie's List members is BUYER BEWARE! These guys have an agenda that is not in your best interest. I would urge you to look elsewhere for your pest control needs. And these people are slick, so I fully expect a very smoothly worded rebuttal from them. Nothing they may say in a carefully worded response will be able to even remotely explain their self-serving business practices. I would definitely avoid doing business with this company!

Vince came on time and was very knowledgeable and helpful. While we didn't much headway on indentifying the source of the rodent activity, the other two problems were taken care of. Vince sprayed for both the ants and the wasps. He came back a couple of days later and removed the wasps nest. I did see some some more ants a few days later and Vince came back promptly and resprayed. During the intitial inspection, Vince noticed an exploratory termite tunnel, so I agreed to a preventive termite service, which included drilling quarter sized holes along the front and side of the property. Because I'm getting ready to put the house up for sale and didn't want a prospective buyer to think the house had had a termite problem, I asked Vince if he could write a letter explaining the termite treatment was only preventive. He seemed very willing to write the letter, but that was over six weeks ago and I haven't gotten it. Vince was both thorough and competent, so I'm a bit mystified that he hasn't done what he said he would do, but I've come to realize that there will be no letter and it is for that reason that in some categories, I could give no better than a C.

As time goes on, I will be able to better evaluate the quality of their work. As of now, I think they're doing a great job.

When my contract for termites comes up for renewal, I will most likely use them. The cost listed includes the discounted bee service ($145) and a 5% discount for paying for the annual service ($450) in advance.

The representative from Dodson inspected the property and discussed everything he noted with me. There was no hard sell or pushy sales pitch. He answered all questions and was available  to answer additional questions that occurred to me later. The technician showed up as scheduled and performed the work. More recently, we had an issue with yellow jackets behind a retaining wall where I could not get at them. They had been stinging contractors and making life difficult. They squeezed us in on a day's notice and promptly dealt with the problem at a fair price. They even returned the next day to make sure that the treatment had been effective. These are good, honest folks and I highly recommend them...

Vince came to us after another local company botched the job. I called Dodson 5 minutes before closing on a Friday evening, and when Vince got the message 45 minutes later he was already almost home in Mars Hill. After he found out that we had a pretty large yellow jacket nest on our back deck he offered to drive back into town and take care of it right away. What a blessing and what top-notch customer service! 
Multiple companies told us they would have to send an inspector with a full suit, because the nest was contained on our small, second story deck. Vince walked in with only regular clothes and a hat on and announced that this was his bee suit! He was very calm, and easily applied the insecticide powder into the hole in the wall to kill the colony. The previous company I?d hired sprayed chemicals from an aerosol can all over my screen, siding, furniture, and plants (and didn?t even touch the nest!). You definitely want to hire someone who uses the powder instead of the spray liquid.
We watched from inside the house as he backed a few feet away and waited for the wasps to calm down before he put back all the furniture he?d moved to get better access to the hole. He was also kind and knowledgable enough to suggest a natural enzyme-based cleaner which would get off the chemicals the other inspector had sprayed everywhere.
By the next morning, all the wasps were gone! Hurray!!
Overall, Vince was just a joy. He was kind, compassionate, and immensely competent. I felt totally comfortable inviting him into my home. I hope I never have to deal with another nest, but if I do, I will absolutely be calling him again. I highly recommend his services to anyone and everyone!

We have had a very good experience with them. They don't try to take you for a ride or overcharge.

I called Dodson at 9:00 AM Monday morning to request service for aggressive wasp removal. It's 10:50 AM now and Vince has already come and gone. He located and removed the nest in short order. Very happy with the service. Will definitely use them again as needed.

Not only did Vince take care of this dangerous problem, he knew the names of all the plants, bushes, flowers in our yard and told me what NOT to weed, (i.e. butterfly favorites, bird seeds, etc). This was a two for one, since we have recently moved to this state and needed some landscape advice)! Thank you Vince!

So far, so good. Their pricing was reasonable. So far, I've only had one experience with them and it went fine. I can't think of anything that stood out but I'm pleased with it.

They were courteous and prompt

My experience went very well. The staff was very helpful, professional and knowledgeable in their field. They did not charge anything for their service call and advice, which I really appreciated. I would highly recommend this company to others.

WONDERFUL!!! I called the company and the office said they would have Vince, the inspector in my area call me. Little bit later, Vince called back and I explained I had a moderate to severe, but not extreme case of roaches and I needed them GONE! He said he definitely understood and made an appointment with me for the next day to come and do an inspection. The next day I was running late and I called him to say so and he was running late as well so he said he would head to the house and wait for me. We met at my home at approx 4:30 (day before Thanksgiving). He looked around an did his inspection and then gave me his quote. He worked out an initial payment and monthly fee that I could manage. (which the initial was almost 1/2 of a previous quote I had received earlier from another company). He then called on Friday morning and set up appt to come out and was actually a little early :) He completed the initial visit and explained he would be back in about two weeks. Vince was completely professional, polite, friendly, and just plain wonderful! I would highly recommend Dodson to everbody based on Vince's performance!
