CROWN ELECTRIC

It went very well. Jared Crowne quoted a price I thought fair, showed up on time, was professional and courteous. He was exacting about the work he did and as concerned about the aesthetics as I was. He explained what he was doing, step by step, and why. I am very happy with the results. In spite of the job's complexity, Mr Crowne finished in less time than estimated and charged us an significantly lower price than we expected. I called on Mr Crowne because he had done another lighting job for me two years ago with which I am still satisfied.

Kevin and his assistant did a good job of restoring power to the fan - it needed a switch replaced and that job was done great. Both were nice and professional - no problems there whatsoever. They were able to get the power going through the lines again for the room and adjacent bathroom where we were not having any power. However, after 45 minutes of work, the lights in that room and adjacent bathroom were flickering, so Kevin spent the next hour and fifteen minutes trying to fix that and before he left, it was seemingly fixed. Two days later, the flickering continued to occur and I called Jared/Crown Electric and explained the issue. He was unresponsive, so I contacted Kevin, the journeyman who came to do the work, and I asked if I could get warranty work done. Both Kevin and Jared balked at the idea. I explained that I was fine with the hour's worth of work completed, but since they charge a relatively high rate per hour, and spent an hour and 15 minutes trying to fix a flickering light, I'd want to get that hour back to try to fix what they charged me for. Jared was very harsh in his response and was quite a jerk about it and said I'd have to pay extra for them to come out and won't perform warranty work whatsoever, due to presence of knob and tube wiring - that was inactive for 7 years as the house was re-wired. I said that all I wanted was one hour back to do the work that wasn't done right. Anyways, I've uploaded images of our texting and you can decide if you want to deal with a contractor like this - they prove their worth with how the work is done AND how a crisis is handled - I am considering small claims court, but I hope to save you guys from making the same mistake of choosing these guys.

The electrician arrived on time and changed the switch. No problems.

We were having brownouts and they put in a whole house electricity cleaner, so that the power would not fluctuate. And we have 400-amp service in our house. That was not an easy task. I think it was about $400.

I have been working with them since 2010.

We had to do some structural repair in the house and we needed a source for new lighting. And we needed some repair work done, because the previous owner had not done the electric up to code. So he brought the existing wiring up to code on another site. 

He came out and assessed the situation. I didn?t anticipate that he would do it that day, but he did.



When I call Crown Electric, usually they are rated for commercial. So, they can do commercial work and residential work. They are always busy, but they always find time. He could probably charge twice than what he does and people would still be happy paying it. 



They have probably done a total of about $30,000 worth of electrical work for me. They did all the wiring in one of my rental properties, that the entire building had to be rewired. I have a wood working studio that had about 5 ? 110 outlets & 1 ? 220 outlet that they upgraded to double the number of 110 & triple the number of 220 and put in 3 phase. And they also put in lights and upgraded the entire building to current code. They passed the inspection the first time, with all that work that they did.

Prompt, competent, friendly, neat, good work at a reasonable cost.  We were very pleased & will use them again.

It was very good and I was very pleased with the service. The price was reasonable and they were very knowledgeable.

His inspection was expert, methodical and thorough. (I know just enough about the subject to make those judgments.) Always focused and never hurried. Clearly explained what was right and what was wrong; what was very important, what was less so. Estimated the cost of each repair. Promptly provided a written report. Would certainly have him again for any electrical work.

Called the service provider. A worker came out about an hour later and changed the light fixture.

I called Crown Electric to see if they could come out for a very small job - connecting some wiring to a breaker box. I wasn't even sure if he would be interested in such a small job, and I thought it would take at least a couple weeks to get an appointment. He had just finished a job and came to my house immediately after I called him. He did the work I asked him to do. Then he discovered an outlet had been wired incorrectly by a friend of mine, which he fixed. He also fixed my light switches which had been installed wrong and had been bugging me for a long time. In the process he noticed my ceiling fan was shaking when it was turned on, which is something I knew needed fixed. He corrected this problem too. I also had a smoke detector hanging from the ceiling by its wires, which he attached properly. He did all this work for only $80 on the same day I called him for an appointment! I highly recommend this company!

The service man was congenial and professional. He did the above tasks expediciously and left. The work was done excellently and inexpensively.

We called the number for Crown Electric around 8:15 a.m. and explained the problem with our lighting fixture. An electrician was able to stop by our house on his way to work and within 90 minutes of our original call everything was fixed!

The owner is great; we love him and I cannot say enough good things about him. I will use him again in the future.

They were prompt and they were thorough and the job went just great.

Called the service and the technician was here in less than an hour. Immediately diagnosed the problem and, while it took some time covering 3 floors, he solved the problem promptly.

It went well. There may be a problem in getting an estimate because this is a very busy small contractor. He and his people do high quality work and will fix any problems you find later. I didn't compare prices with other contractors, but I think Crown's prices are reasonable. This is a reasonable and ethically run business.

Mr. Crown met with me and the contractor to review our kitchen and nook remodel plans, and to point out any particular problems/issues and to clarify what I wanted. He also met with me at my request to review all the switch needs so that we were on the same page before switches were purchased. He and his team installed new circuits in the kitchen and adjacent nook, new ganged Lutron switches, hidden receptacles under cabinets, under cabinet lights, over cabinet lights, ceiling can lights, wall outlets, appliances, new washer/dryer connections, ceiling fan/lights and switches throughout the house, outside wiring/lighting, and a whole house surge protector. He also was able to trouble shoot an outlet that had been originally wired wrong at some point in the house's history and was able to ground it correctly so we would not have any safety issues. He was responsive on the phone, and he and his assistants were always polite, respectful and friendly. Price was fair for the amount of time and work they spent on our project.

Jared and his crew are professional, on time and do the work as if it were for their own home. I highly recommend.
