CLOCK DOC

The Clock Doc knew exactly what needed to be done. He asked for a week to make a replacement, and a week later let me know that the pendulum was ready. I put it back in the clock and the clock now is working fine. I would take any of my mechanical clocks to him. A good mechanical clock repairman is very hard to find. The Clock Doc is a good mechanical clock repairman, indeed.

The Clock Doc told us we had a 30-day wind-up clock and sold us a key. He also wound it a bit for us, instructing us to wind it until it couldn't go any further. It's been working like a charm ever since. We love to hear the chimes on the hour and half hour.

It's been several years since the service, but friend asked for a recommendation and I just had to take time to write a positive review, as well. We moved my mother's antique grandfather clock across the country and needed it to be set up and re-assembled. Lou was very knowledgeable and took the time to help us secure the clock to the wall to prevent damage and level it. He made some adjustments and then instructed us on how to wind and adjust the clock if it ran fast or slow. Three years later, this 200+ year old clock is keeping perfect time. I could not possibly give a higher recommendation!

Lou's work, mirrors his deep faith and we would return to him for any reason. We also highly recommend Lou to anyone who seeks quality work and at a tremendous value.

I found Lou Miller on Angie's list and selected him for my clock repair since he was conveniently located and had excellent reviews. I dropped off my antique pendulum mantle clock, along with the various parts/pieces, on Nov. 13. Mr. Miller told me it would be 4-6 weeks for the cleaning and repair, and he quoted me a flat rate for the work (not including the cost of any additional parts that might be required).
I was so pleasantly surprised when Mr. Miller called on Nov. 25 to say that my clock was ready for pickup - less than 2 weeks since I dropped it off! When I arrived, he explained what additional parts he'd purchased (a mere $3.50) and advised me how to properly wind the clock and adjust the pendulum if the clock runs too slow or fast.
I am absolutely thrilled to have my mother's clock running again after more than 30 years! I would definitely recommend Mr. Miller to anyone who needs clock service or repair.

I needed a to have fixed a large wall clock (a mechanical, weight driven pendulum movement) that hadn't run in at least a year. Turned out that the clock needed cleaning and re-balancing of the bearings and pivots, but no major repairs. We dropped the clock off and it was brought back and installed. Turn around was about three weeks (including letting the clock run for a week while in the shop). It now runs and keeps good time.
