Classic Paint and Body

At about 2 1/2 weeks I called to see how much longer my car would be in the shop. I was told maybe another week. A few days later I found out (from a sign on the shop door) that they were closed due to Covid-19. Trying to be understanding, I assumed I would get a call and my vehicle would be worked on as soon as they reopened. I received no calls and my car has been trapped at Classic Paint and body with no one working on it for weeks. I have called, emailed and been to the property. This is the worst management I have ever dealt with. My insurance company is at a loss as to what to do to get ahold of these people. I also no longer have rental car coverage because it has been over 30 days of repair time which is the max insurance allows. I need a response from Steve Smith ASAP and I want my vehicle back. Do Not Go To This Shop

Our car was repaired and finished by a local Body shop on 12/26/2017.On arrival we noticed major color match issues, they refused to do anything to help us. They told us "We are done! There is nothing more we can do for you". That is when we took our car to Classic Paint for a second opinion. After doing a review of previous job, they found: over spray on the windshield, poor sanding, excessive bondo work not needed, lot more. These are issues we would have never new existed till now. They immediately formulated a plan to re do our car's previous repair. They started with contacting body shop, Insurance company to help get this re-do approved (seemed to take several weeks) and on 03/27/2018 Classic Paint &Body called us to come pick-up our car. Classic Paint &Body chose to be there for us the 1st day and stayed with us till they handed us the keys to our finished car 90 Days Later. They did such a wonderful job our 20-year experienced detailer couldn't even find where the repair was located. He said I’m simply amazed on the job they did, you don't see this very often. These guys truly are professional in automotive paint and body work.

I agreed to a used mirror in order to save $$. After being told it would be ready a day after it arrived, I waited a week, and then called. I was told it was in and waiting to be painted. I waited another week. I was told they would have it ready by the end of the week. It was not. I called on Monday, and was told it would be ready on Tuesday. It was. Work done was good quality, but wait time was not as promised. There was never an explanation given for delays (i.e., heavy volume due to snowy/icy weather, etc.)

I was a walk-in and received an estimate for the needed work and the time it would take. They worked with me around scheduling and actually finished the work a day sooner than expected. The finished product was flawless. I had gotten another estimate from a popular body shop in town which was $300 more than what Classic Body and Paint charged and the wait time for scheduling was 2 weeks longer. I highly recommend Classic Body and Paint.

On Monday December 5 I contacted them to see if I could get an estimate for the repairs. The lady asked what year my truck was. I told them that it was a 2005 F-150. She said that it would cost $50 to get an estimate. I asked if that applied if insurance was paying. She asked what insurance I had and I told her Penn National. She said she didn’t know if they worked off Penn National quotes and then put me on hold to ask her manager. She came back and said that they would work off the quote from Penn National. She also asked when I could bring the truck in for them to take a look. She verified that I would not need to pay the $50 fee for the estimate. I looked at my calendar and found a day to swing by their shop. When I arrived for them to look at it, the lady told me that it would be $50. I told her that we had discussed this earlier in the week and that she had told me that I wouldn’t need to pay for the estimate. I told her that I had an insurance quote coming. She insisted that I had to pay $50 just to look at the truck. I then offered to write her a check for the total that the insurance quote was for - $1540. I was offering to pay upfront and on the spot. She refused, so I decided to go elsewhere. This was a very frustrating turn of events, particularly since we had agreed on the phone that I wouldn’t have to pay for them to look at the truck. Not only did they lose my business for the insurance repairs, but also other potential repairs that I wanted them to do. I would avoid doing business here.

Our car was scraped by another car.  When we called to make an appointment we were told to bring it in the following morning for an estimate which was given immediately by Seth Bunker, an experienced and most helpful gentleman.  He remembered us and the car from almost three years previous.  He checked the car all over and told us that, because of the original paint it would take three coats of paint to match the rest of the car after the repairs were made.  That made the length of time and the cost be higher than it would otherwise have been.  Both time (3 days) and cost came in at exactly what was predicted.
As a bonus, the receptionist is wonderful to work with.  She knows about the business and if I have a question she gets back to me with an answer very quickly.
As mentioned, we have had need of their services previously and would highly recommend them to any friends and neighbors.  If fact, I think that is how we began using them in the first place, from recommendations by friends.  Of course we checked their ratings both times with Angie's List!

They did the work in the time expected and we were happy with the results.

Work was done on time and as promised, and looks great. This is the
second time I have used Buddy Roberts, and I have been very pleased with
the results.

While our 2011 Odyssey van was parked in front of a store
someone tried to park next to it using the "feel" method.
Naturally they drove off without identifying themselves or without
notifying us of the damage to the rear bumper of the van. Our insurance appraiser provided an estimate
for the repair costs in this area and allowed us to choose any body shop for
the repair. We obtained the names of
several shops in our area from Angie”s list and received an estimate from Buddy
Roberts Classic Paint as our first choice.
They gave us an immediate quote matching the insurance estimation and
indicated that if we wished they would take the van at any time. Delivery was promised within two to three
days depending upon part arrival. The
repair was finished on time and the paint job was excellent. The paint on our van is a blue metallic
color, which can be hard to match properly, but they were able to do it. The van was also washed and ready to be
inspected when we arrived, an added bonus we did not expect.

Very professional and timely from estimate through finish. The work performed was excellent and was done on the day they promised. All of the people I interacted with were helpful, courteous, and professional. I will definitely return with any needed body work in the future and recommend them to others

My insurace suggest this shop. They do very good work. paint was an excellent match. All thier work has a lifetime warranty. I have used them 3 times and work was excellent all three times. Best repair shop in WNC.
