Dr. Margaret Moncure killed my duck. She tried to hide what she did by trying to talk me into putting the duck down. Then, four hours later, after telling her five times that I did not want to put my duck down, she admitted that my duck was dead. She said it died in a tote in the back room of the vet clinic. She is a murderer. Do not take your precious animal to her!
Response from Cedar Ridge Animal Hospital
"We truly apologize that your duck was so very sick upon arrival and passed away while you were deciding on what course of action was best for you and your duck. Ducks, like all birds, are usually critically ill when they very first show any signs of illness and when care is not received the first day they seem sick, unfortunately many of them are not able to be saved. Your duck had been sick for over 24 hours with organs prolapsed outside of her body and passed away while diagnostics were being done, specialty consults were pursued, and you were deciding which treatments you were going to approve. Our hearts are with you while you grieve. You have also mentioned a veterinarian in your review that was not working on the day you sought care."

Ted Wright is a fantastic vet, I will have no one else take care of my animals. We have been with him for years, large and small animals. The compassion he shows for his patients, fur babies and their parents, is amazing. Don't really care for other vet is pushy and care a lot for $$$$$.

WI had been taking our rescue cat, Jonie, to another vet near Cedar Ridge. She would get horrible scabs all over her and seemed to itch constantly. She pulled her hair out by the mouthful and could not stop scratching. The other vet diagnosed her with "miliary dermatitis" and said there was nothing I could do but help her to manage it. The result turned into expensive steroid shots that would only last 7 to 10 days. Our family friend, Emily, began working at Cedar Ridge when it opened. Because of her, I trusted taking our cat there and wanted to seek out a second opinion.
Dr. Ted Wright helped us that day. You know what he said? "Fleas." It was as simple as that. Our cat had been on flea medicine consistently, and I had never seen a flea on her....needless to say, I didn't even actually believe him at first. All the vet visits and bills and shots, and you tell me it's fleas that I've never seen? Well, he was right. "It only takes one," he said. Our little Jonie is just that sensitive. He switched our flea medication, and Jonie as been a happy, healthy kitty ever since. I can't believe how simple it was!
The Cedar Ridge staff is amazing all around. They truly care about both of our cats and any concerns we might have. We've been back several times for check-ups and vaccinations since then. They are always on time and caring. We will never go anywhere else!
