Saw him as a new patient and during the 1st visit he wasn't sure he wanted to take me on as his patient due to the fact I have several health issues. I left with a we will see. They advertised a new physician joining the practice the following week so I called to see if I could get on with new doctor with certainty. Dr. Owens refused to sign off and instead discharged me as a patient and appealing to the COO and CEO was not helpful and they were very rude so I was left with searching for an internist from zero. Have been on a wait list for 1st appointment elsewhere for 5 months. Previously to Dr. Owens my physician of 12 years went Concierge .

We recently moved to the Asheville area and needed to find new doctors. After extensive research, I decided Carolina Internal Medicine would be the right choice for us. Sadly, I was wrong. The phone tree directed new patients to press a particular option key. Then, a recording told me to leave my name and number and someone would call me back within five (!) business days. Two weeks have gone by and we never received any call back. This is no way to run any type of business and particularly not a good idea with a potential new client. Obviously they lost our business and we have passed along to our friends the story of their amazingly poor business model.

It was fine. I scheduled an appointment. Got in right away. Finished up on time and got out in a hurry.

I finally found the doctor for me!  She was wonderful - took the time to really listen and was very thoughtful and thorough in assessing my needs and making recommendations for further testing and treatment. Her nurse followed up the following day with test results and additional suggestions. She was kind, compassionate, respectful, understanding and smart - everything I was looking for!

He has a good recollection of who you are from visit to visit. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It’s hard to get an appointment with him. I’m not even sure if he’s taking new patients at this time. He is not very available.

I've been going to her for about 10 years, and she's great.

I like him very well. He is friendly, responsive and takes good care of me. I really depend on him including my wife.

He is great. I have been seeing him for about 4 years. He listens to me, and I don't have to listen to him the whole time.

Office is a factory to make money first and serve their patients second - charging for a patient portal when it's a free service anywhere else. Doubled INR visits needed by setting a narrow range - racking up copays and fees. If you have this need you know what I'm talking about. A staff that's literally scared of their supervisor and hopes/encourages patients to speak up about the inefficient front office. If your time isn't valuable and you appreciate the impersonal environment, then this is the place for you.

Dr. Bartow was thorough, asked many questions, took her time.  Did not feel rushed at all.  She is very easy to talk to.

Dr. Pamela B. Cavanaugh does an excellent job. Her staff is excellent. Availability is very good. It’s a large enough practice but there’s always coverage in case one person is out of town. They’re always going to be able get through out of anything. I feel confident enough in the practice that I would not hesitate to see the people there. The office is very good, very pleasant and well done. Her punctuality is not as quite good but it’s because of the setting.

I wanted to get my lungs checked and see if I had broken a rib. Had gone on for several days. No fever or chest congestion. Saw a PA who was very related and efficient. gave me antibiotic targeted toward sinus infections. Improved rapidly. Still have sinus pains but down to the usual which I have all the time. was pleased. Happy you can be seen in the AM in this practice as a walk in during regular hours. That is why I chose this practice in the first place.
