We had a glass barn style door installed in our new shower in our new home. When it was installed the installers did not protect the shower pan and left dirty boot prints on the pan. It took a lot of scrubbing to remove them. They did not clean the glass when the job was complete. The door leaks at the bottom causing water to pool on the bathroom floor. We have called a couple of times to complain and have not received any response. Will not recommend them to anyone.

Britt & Tilson just installed the fourth shower door / shower wall in our home which also serves as a Bed & Breakfast Inn. That fact alone should be telling enough. All jobs were custom jobs in a 100-year-old house with not a single perfectly vertical wall and owners that have precise ideas of bathroom design. We were happy with all aspects of their work: Professional approach and conduct, precise and accurate measurements and job preparation, absolutely appropriate consultation on which brand, material and style to select, reliable timing estimates, and finally rock-solid installation by apparently well-trained professionals who left their workplace clean and tidy. Britt & Tilson may not be the cheapest bidder, but we're not in the business for cheap. I want quality that lasts and good workmanship; both have their value, and in that respect B&T delivers and is reasonable in every way. For our next glass project we will not call anybody else but Britt & Tilson.

The actual work was great.  It was just trying to get them to come out that was hard.  We were given the cell phone number of the person who was supposed to come out to do the estimate. That was weird.  Shouldn't the front desk person handle the calls and appointments?  The person who was supposed to do the estimate was very difficult to reach.  He did not have his voicemail set up, which was quite frustrating.  My mother who is 87, was dealing with a broken window in the middle of the winter so I would have expected a much better response.
Once the workers came and replaced the glass, we were pleased. The work was done very well.

It went well. Removal of the window glass had to be done inside the garden window which as you know is a very tight space. They had the installation done in about an hour.
Service providers were efficient and kept the work area clean. Very pleasant young men to deal with. I highly recommend this company.

They are nice people, very pleasant on the phone . When, months later, they finally did the work, the work looks good. Price was reasonable. But responsiveness and follow up and keeping their word was unbelievably unprofessional. Perhaps because it was a small job. We were marketing a house and the very long delays cost us potential buyers. We also had to pay someone to let them in and wait while they worked when the first set of windows was delivered and had been measured wrong. Then the delays continued. I was promised four or five times that something was to be taken care of in two to three days. Then weeks would pass. I don't understand why this happened. They supposedly have a good reputation. But it was very frustrating, we lost interest of several buyers because the windows weren't fixed, and there was very little communication from them, just my phone calls.

First inst. size had been measured wrong. Glass was reordered and installed correctly within a week.

The price was very reasonable. They were prompt and as soon as the glass came in they called me. They told me they would be done in an hour, and it was done on time. They were very professional and prompt.

Original order was measured slightly too large, but were immediately reordered and installed satisfacturally within a week.

The window was broken in the morning. I called them (based largely on Angie's List reviews) in mid morning and requested emergency service. They had a representative here within an hour to take measurements and the window was replaced by the end of the day. Everyone involved was courteous, helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. The men who installed the window did a neat, professional job and cleaned the work site completely. I was very pleased with the work.

It's not an easy job. They did a really good job. I thought they were very reasonable. I did not call them and bother them and it took such a long time, four months to get a tiny little window pane. I always presumed it was I, but they could not quite get their schedule, they either came on the wrong day or it was always at the wrong time. There was a major glitch there. They were the relatives of the neighbor's of mine and that's the problem when you have these kind of things in small towns. They did a good job and they were very reasonable. They were very polite. I did not call them and asked when they were coming. If I had, I definitely would have got better service. However, I just had enough. I had many balls in the air. If you stay on them, I am sure, I am guessing you would get very good service. I was happy with the outcome but it took a long way to get there. It was not nearly what I was expecting. Anybody who charged you twenty-one cents I thought probably had high integrity otherwise they would round it. They initially came out on 26th May, it took a little while. They were very polite, very reasonable and they did very good work. I thought their price was very good. You just need to be very clear when they are coming. You just need to call them if you don't hear from them. If you are in a hurry, you need to be prepared to call them. I did not and I am not complaining, I did not call them. I had more important things than my side glass and my window going on. The work was excellent. The window was perfect, very well done and very nicely done. They put in temporary that was perfectly fine. I think if they would have put in a bad temporary I would have called them sooner. The work is of very high grade and I thought the price was really good. The guys that came out were very nice. It's just the timing thing. Like I said if you call them I'm guessing they would be there. I just did not call them. In terms of punctuality, they had trouble with that. That was such a big deal. They were great in terms of professionalism. I would use their services again in the future, not that I am in a hurry.

Good overall

They didn’t install it. Each door was about $300. I ordered them and then I just went and picked them up. I did speak to someone over the phone and in person. I spoke in person for the first one and then I just called over the phone for the second. They were very professional. In order to purchase it, I could only speak to one person. Mr. Britt and Mr. Tilson are the two owners; one of them does the commercial. There was a little bit of a hang up in the ordering because if that person wasn’t available, then I had to wait a little bit.

They did a fine job on the cut. I have a broken side window that I need taken care of and I am planning to have them do the installation. They were very meticulous on telling me how to handle the glass when I was taking it home. I was appreciative of this. It was a fairly unremarkable experience and I remember it being fairly easy.

Once the window arrived, two technicians arrived as promised, replaced the window with no problems and cleaned up the mess.

Great - I got the broken one repaired and they built me another from scratch to replace the missing one. Took about a week; reasonably priced! This company has been members of the Better Business Bureau since 1972, so I figured they could be trusted. I was right.
