Blue Ridge Masonry

We have used Shawn for masonry work several time over the years and are always impressed with his quick responses, reliability, and quality work. We like supporting local companies, and this is one we highly recommend to anyone needing masonry work, basement waterproofing, etc.

We had used Shawn for our masonry waterproofing needs when we remodeled our downstairs in 2009 and have been so pleased with the results (dry basement!) that we knew he was the person to call to help us with this ca. 8' x 4' hole in our basement floor.
Shawn grew up in the area and is proud of his heritage and his work, as he should be! He promptly answers his phone, or calls back when necessary, and he shows up when he says he will. He is courteous and neat in his work and takes the time to explain various options and help us choose the best one for our situation.
Shawn works quickly but competently and his work is always A+. The large cement patch he made dried perfectly and smooth and once we paint it to match the rest of the downstairs floor, will hardly be noticeable.

When I called Shawn, I wasn' t sure what the job would entail, or exactly what was needed. He listened to my needs and carefully and thoroughly explained my options. He quoted me a very fair price. He kept me informed every day of the progress, and actually did more work in one area of the basement than we had expected, because he "felt it was necessary". He did not charge me for the time or materials involved in this extra work. His work exceeded my expectations, and I am very happy with the results. He was also very neat and cleaned his work areas up nicely.

1/23/2011 UPDATE: It's now 2 1/2 years after the remodeling. We have not had any dampness or water issues in the downstairs at all. Even with the very heavy rains of the last few weeks, it remains perfectly dry. We highly recommend this company!!
