Darius responded quickly to my initial phone inquiry.  Once we agreed on price he went to work researching our property records on file with Haywood County.  While BRLS is very busy this time of year, Darius was able to start the actual physical survey within three weeks.  He called and confirmed when he would arrive and reviewed the records he had obtained from the County.  He then went to work locating pins and land marks.  Our property is very mountainous and heavily wooded.  Surveying the perimiter is no easy task--It is both physically challenging and an irregular shape.  Darius met with our neighbors and obtained their permission for him and his crew to use access points on their property.  When the survey was complete, Darius drove back out to meet with us and interpret the survey for us showing us where our property lines run along the ridges and thru the woods.
Overall, a very professional and detailed survey job.  We can highly recommend Darius and Blue Ridge Land Surveying, inc.

Ken Mills and Dennis Campbell surveyed my home property of which there are three lots, Ken led the charge. The lots have many angles and turns and after having read Ken and Dennis's credentials on their website, I knew these were the folks I wanted doing the work. They were meticulous and cut no corners, extremely professional (and patient, I shadowed Ken asking many questions along the way) and absolute gentlemen. All corners were marked and linear (lot line) indicators (stakes) placed where requested where line of sight from corner to corner was blocked by elevation or some obstacle. The survey included a physically executed tie-in (using instruments) to the applicable NGS Geodetic marker for the area (some four blocks away, it was amazing to watch them make their way up the street with instruments). I was given copies (24" x 36" printout) of the survey when completed. The records on file at the Buncombe County Registrar of Deeds were reviewed and tightened up where needed. This is the team to use, I am extremely satisfied in all respects with the work and service Ken and Dennis provided.

I called Blue Ridge Land Survey after hours and left them a message requesting a call. Within a day or so Dennis called and we discussed what I needed. During that call we set up an appointment for Dennis and Ken to come out for the field work a few days later. They arrived on time and I showed them the site. They completed the field work that morning (Friday I think). I told them I would be out of town the next week. Dennis told me he would call when I got back. The Monday morning I got back Dennis called and told me he had the survey ready. All was done very professionally, promptly and for a price I considered to be quite fair. I have used Blue Ridge Land Surveying on numerous occasions since 1995. They have done an entire subdivision for me and many smaller jobs. The results have always been the same. Professional, prompt, thorough and at a fair price.
As far as do's are concerned I have enough experience with Blue Ridge to recommend them for any job from entire subdivisions to small lot surveys.
As far as don'ts are concerned I recommend that regardless of what kind of survey work you have done don't try to cut corners. Surveys are long lasting. Use someone who has a good track record and has been around for a while. That way if you need someone to stand behind the work you can find them. I know Blue Ridge to be that kind of company.

My realtor called two survey companies for an appointment and Blue Ridge Land Survey called back promptly. Blue Ridge Survey explained the process to me and how they arrived at their fees. The survey was done on a Friday and completed by following Monday. All my questions were answered. I would definately use their services again.
