EVERYTHING went very well! The guys arrived at designated time and worked continuously until done for the day. And they cleaned up after themselves. Very, very pleased!

The quote process was involved since we kept adding to it. Eric was professional and dedicated to the job. Gerard did an amazing installation job and the stairs, which are prominent in the main living area, are a work of art! We love them.

Met a tight schedule for the initial job and did quality work. I had two areas of concern and they fixed them to my satisfaction but they took longer than I anticipated to make the repair. Overall a very positive experience.

They were okay, I give them a mediocre grading. There was a messed up with hard floor, they send it out a wrong color and they came back to fixed it but it ended up to taking about twice long as it was suppose too, but it ended up getting fixed, I wouldn't use them again though.

Aaron was responsive with a prompt and complete written estimate. He was not the lowest estimate but he sold us based on his design suggestions and promise to get the job done within a few weeks - we needed the job completed before the holidays. Aaron applied the Angie's list discount which reduced the cost by hundreds.  Jody managed the removal of the old flooring and was very courteous and careful about clean-up and really worked hard to minimize disrupting the household. Aaron had to special order some of the material to meet our grade requirements, which took longer than he originally promised, but he eventually got everything as specified. Blue Ridge Floors has some very skilled and professional floor carpenters - Girard and Brett. They take pride in their work and it shows. The finishing crew had some minor flaws in their work, such as drip marks on the stairs and debris in the finish coat, but they were responsive about coming back numerous times to resolve. Aaron had arranged to have a detailer finish some work just before the holiday and she never showed up and did not let Aaron or us know. This resulted in some communication issues with the final completion of the job. When Aaron found out what happened he apologized and personally came out and took care of the final punch list and more. He went beyond the scope of the job and painted extensive trim around the stairs. He even did some very creative finish detailing that involved adding knots to the stair risers to better match the character of some adjacent reclaimed wood flooring. Aaron and Blue Ridge floors care very much about customer satisfaction and their reputation. We are very pleased with the way the completed job turned out.

From beginning to end the process went well.  The company was responsive and the quote on the mark.  The installers worked hard and payed attention to detail.  The first room's wood floor was floated over a concrete slab and the second was stapled to the existing plywood flooring.  We are happy with the Anderson engineered floor wood and the excellent work done installing it.  We evaluated three contractors and settled with Blue Ridge Flooring.  Their great Angie's List reputation is well deserved.  Everyone associated with Blue Ridge excelled in professionalism.

Dave came to measure and discuss possible layouts. The workers arrived promptly and did a very professional installation and then cleaned up carefully before leaving.  When we had a small issue with some grout, Aron made sure it was fixed to our satisfaction.

The floors look fantastic! Aaron and his team were professional, fun to deal with, attentive to our questions and timing issues, and punctual (even finishing a little bit sooner than we had planned). I would highly recommend them in the future and we continue to be appreciative of their work every on a daily basis as we are still (two months later) completely enamored with our floors! Thanks so much Aaron! Awesome!

From the beginning we felt that Aaron had a natural regard for us, the disruption this was going to cause and was forthright and honest about the difficulties that would result from Blue Ridge Floors' work.
He promised to remove the bad wood and make the  floor look like a new floor. He also said what could not be fixed, like tile extending into the rooms under the doors, another "hallmark" from the previous contractor.
Blue Ridge Floors came through with flying colors.
We no longer have to fear backing up in our chairs and having a wheel go into a hole in the floor or a having a sock snag on the wood as we walk across the bedroom. We just walk from room to room without thinking about anything except the beauty of the floor.
We were called to review the progress at three stages of the work. We were greeted politely and professionally by all the people concerned. They started exactly when they said the would on Monday morning and had moved us in 10 days later on Friday at 3 as planned.
The floors are gorgeous, even and matte-finished throughout.
I had expected to be dusting the entire house from ceiling to floor, but they had used sanders to extract the sawdust and we had none of that residual problem. Blue Ridge even dusted the furniture that was stored in the bathrooms and had gotten a film from the sanding.
They got every evidence that they had been here out, removing the debris bags and all the blue tape and plastic covers from the house. All that was left was the beautiful wood floor.
I would hire them again without any reservation.
Response from Blue Ridge Floors
"Thank you! This is a great report. We are so pleased that you guys are so happy with all of the work. I had to respond and mention that you both were some of our favorite customers we've had. Very helpful and and understanding. We are grateful for having the opportunity to make your floor show it's true beauty. Hopefully we can stay in touch with one another in the future!"

We added a bedroom in the basement of our home. Because we had concrete floors I needed to use engineered hardwood floor instead of traditional hardwoods like the rest of the house. Since this meant gluing the floor down I was concerned about the toxins and off-gasing - we have allergies - so it was important that I use someone that had experience with newer products. I asked Blue Ridge Custom Floors to come give an estimate and was very impressed with Aaron's knowledge, enthusiasm for "Green" products, fair price and timeliness for getting the job done. We hired him, he did a beautiful job. I have since recommended him to several others.

Great work, above and beyond what was asked extremely professional workers were very polite and courteous Aaron was very professional and gave me the best price The price did not change or alter he stuck to the price he gave me  and it was nice that Aaron gave me many different choices in flooring and price range I have recommended this company to many of my friends I have also used Aaron/ Blue Ridge Custom Floor for a few of my rental homes.  I am currently using them for a remodel. I am not sure if I am suppose to send a separate report for each property .

The work turned out alright. They estimated me $1200 lower than they actually wanted to charge me. They didn't show up on time. They wanted a key to my house to be able to get in whenever they wanted to. They took a week longer to finish than they originally promised. The owner showed up on the day they were supposed to be done asking for payment but I hadn't even checked to make sure everything was done correctly and they hadn't even finished the work properly. They had too many jobs going on at once and I wasn't a priority. This delayed me moving in to the property on time and delayed some other projects I had going on.
Response from Blue Ridge Floors
"With regret to have to defend our company: Customer did intend to manipulate us into providing more labor and materials than she was paying for. We completed an estimated $550 worth of non-charged upgrades (without complaint from our staff) due to her stating that she assumed these things were included even though it was in black and white on the quote. The money was as always, professional dealings on our part. The numbers in her comments don't match our conversations or dealings. There was no change or attempt to change the cost whatsoever. We, as a company, have very strict rules against this. This was in addition to the $400 discount we took off the top of the price. The final check the customer wrote us for $3100 was returned “non-sufficient funds” and has been documented. We were locked out of the jobsite in early afternoon hours twice, and again one evening when we were scheduled to come coat the floor. We were never made aware that she would be locking us out at early hours. This did cause the job to run 2 days long on the 2 week project. The customer admitted to me at her place of business that she had exaggerated the report on Angie's list to be worse than the situation was because she had grown upset because of the schedule. With further investigation, we found that she has been manipulative with other contracting companies. We will refuse to work for this customer in the future."
