Custom Picture Framing - with WNC's largest selection and most experienced staff. John & Pat Horrocks have owned their framing business for 26 years, including the last 13 years Asheville. Five staff members hold the CPF designation of the Professional Picture Framers Association, the only frame shop in the nation with this distinction. Conveniently located 3/4 mile north of downtown with ample free parking.

Full range of custom framing - traditional and contemporary styles, Lucite and recycled wood. We carry the region's largest range of period frames featuring hand-carving and precious metal finishes, and we have the best selection of custom oval and round frames. Other products & services include delivery & professional installation, including selections not found elsewhere in WNC, like frames made of welded steel, picture lamps and cable hanging systems.

The other three frames were an even more difficult job for John at BlackBird. He took 100 year old, highly carved frames that I supplied and then cut them to fit a new size. The new mitered corners were perfect with no detection of being resized with all carvings matching.
I would recommend BlackBird for any size job. I will certainly use BlackBird for ALL my framing needs.
