Jimmy and Brian started this business over twenty years ago. I was referred to Asheville Auto by a friend who was referred to them by another friend. Brian has since moved to another area of interest but thankfully, Jimmy is still there to carry on the wonderful business.
They work with all kinds of vehicles and did a superb job on the timing belt, other belts and water pump at a superb price. The job was completed in the time frame promised also.
This shop is tucked away from the busy streets of North Asheville but once you go, you won't forget where they are and quite likely, you'll send others there too.

When I called Asheville Alignment I was able to get an appointment quickly, within the following 3 days. I had the car there in the morning and by early afternoon the job was complete. I was given a price before the work was started, and that is the amount that I was charged. In the past, they let me know of any condition with my vehicle that may present a problem later. The whole service was very smooth, and the employees are very easy to deal with.

Call for an appointment. They will give you a day to drop off your car but they won't take a name or number. I have never waited for them but always left the car. It has always been done by the end of the day. They treat women equally well as men.

They are prompt, and they do good service.

I have used Asheville Alignment at least 5 times in the past two years.  This is a simple shop with not much of a waiting room, and just one or two guys who work there, so call and make an appointment and go for a drink or snack across the street at Luella's BBQ, or drop off your car in the AM and pick it up in the PM.  They are honest, do top-notch work, and will not charge you a penny more than the work should cost.  I have driven a used car I just bought there, they came out and looked at how the tires were wearing, and told me not to bother with an alignment as it looked fine.  When they do an alignment, it is done right, fast, and $10-20 cheaper than most bigger fancy shops.   

This is the kind of mechanic most folks are looking for when they are wanting to keep a car running, without spending a fortune at the dealer, or some fancy shop.  I have taken several of my vehicles to Jimmy (owner) at Asheville Auto Services over the past year,  maybe 4-5 times in total, and Jimmy has always impressed me with his friendliness, honesty, and good work.  He has never charged me a penny more that I thought it should cost, and he is really good about keeping the customer up to date with what is happening with the repair he is working on.  This is a simple small shop, with just Jimmy and one other mechanic.  There are no fancy waiting rooms with big-screen TVs and fresh coffee, just a decent guy with the tools and know-how to fix most things on your car, no matter how new or old it is.  Just call Jimmy, drop off your car, and you can trust to get any repair taken care of as fast as he can, and with the minimum of cost.  Its located near the corner of Merrimon Ave and WT Weaver Blvd.  You turn behind the Tattoo shop onto Chatham Rd, and turn left again into his shop.  It is the first shop on the right, the next one is Asheville Alignment, an excellent alignment shop.
