They are always prompt and I have never seen the office chaotic like some vet offices. They put the least amount of stress on the patient, as well as the "parents".

It was his first visit since I moved to Asheville and it went smoothly. The veterinarian and his staff were friendly and thorough. Charlie was comfortable and happy.

I took my dog's records from my previous vet of 14 years and was told I would need to have a face-toface with my new vet. Fair enough. I called on three separate occasions and was put on hold by the receptionist each time. Very frustrating. I finally got through and made an appointment. When I arrived for the I was given paperwork to complete and escorted to an examination room to wait for a doctor. I sat there for thirty minutes and had enough. I got up to leave and the receptionist asked me if I had seen the doctor yet. I just left. The doctors may be excellent, but I will never know because the office is in such chaos, I never got to see one.

Even as a new patient, they were able to schedule me very quickly. The exam was smooth, no unnecessary upselling. I will definitely keep them as my regular vet.

This was the third veterenarian I took my young Boarder Collie mix to for an unexplained weakness of the rear legs. Hip dysplasia had been assumed by two others vets.
During our visit Dr. von Slavatny gave my dog a very thorough exam and testing, took x-rays and ruled out hip dysplasia. Subsequently he took videos of my dogs movements, suspecting a neuro-muscular problem. He then sent pictures and videos to two more specialists for a second opinion!
After receiving their opinions a few days later he took ample time to explain diagnosis, further testing possibilities, and several treatment options.
Summing it up, this was the most outstanding and compassionate service ever!

The time finally came when I had to have my cat euthanized.  She was in a lot of pain and was having a difficult time breathing.  They gave her some pain medicine/and or a tranquilizer so she could relax and allowed me to spend time with her.  It was much easier saying "goodbye" to her knowing she was no longer suffering.  When I was ready, they gave her the final shot.  This was the most compassionate experience I have ever has with a vet.

One of our dogs has a special need and we really only trust them for boarding. We have been going here for 3 years. They are very kind and really care about our animals. They are good with communication.

I am very impressed and happy with Dr. Bragg. My cat is old and medically fragile, but his teeth are a little rough. I had a suspicion going into the appointment that he might not be able to handle the anesthesia, and I was concerned. Dr. Bragg confirmed my thoughts but then offered a non-surgical solution that seems to be working well. She also suggested some dietary changes that made sense when they were explained to me, and made me wonder why my old vet didn't mention them.
I was also impressed by the staff in general. They had a couple of emergency patients come in and so I had to wait quite a while longer than anticipated. They didn't forget me, and kept popping their heads in to thank me for my patience. When my turn came they were kind and patient, and took their time helping myself and my cat.
