The manager at A.L. Odom managed to squeeze me in on the same day I phoned so I didn't have to leave my house unsecured with a broken lock for another night. The techs very courteously phoned to say they were on the way. They worked very efficiently and did a great job on the install as well as cleaning up the mess from the wood door cutting and drilling. They also didn't try to sell me more than I needed. The final cost even came in a few dollars under the estimate. Very professional and courteous company. I will use them again!

Judd arrived quickly at a very late hour, provided the most cost effective approach to rectify my emergency problem and also provided great additional suggestions. Would highly recommend their service.

They came out immediately and fixed it right away. The service was excellent. Just one locksmith came out.

..A cheerful, pleasant man who knew more than one way to handle being locked out.  He tried those first.  This was at my sons condominium, which is right across the parking lot from mine.  They do not use the home very often, but make it available to family and good friends who are visiting Asheville.  On this particular evening it was my daughter and two granddaughters, so we were relieved and grateful.

With this place, that's what they do for a living. They do a good job. They have emergency services.

Fantastic suctomer service and the prob lem was resolved quickly.

The locksmith was so friendly and patient.  He was here for over an hour, took the lock out of the back door, sat on the kitchen floor and fixed a key.  He gave me multiple copies of each key and only charged $70.  Such a nice, helpful guy!

I called Odum to re-key several locks in my building.  They told me they would be there between 1 and 4pm.  I called at 2 and asked if they could narrow that down.  they said they could not.  By the time they got there it was almost 6pm at night.  It took them almost an hour to re-key the second lock.  They eventually re-keyed the lock with a code that was different than the matching lock, and tried to tell me my lock was defective.  Then they failed to re-install the lock properly and tried to get me to pay them for the service with my door stuck shut and the lock inoperable!  I literally had to withhold payment until they went back and installed the lock properly so I could actually open my door.
Several weeks later I had another locksmith out to re-code the same locks.  He showed up on time, and it took him about ten minutes to do what they failed to do in an hour and a half.  He also charged about 25% of what Odum charged.
Odum was a waste of my time, a waste of my money, and tried to charge me an inflated price for a botched job.  Avoid.

.Called at the last minute to change locks. They were very booked for the day, but called their on-call person in to help us. The technician arrived on time and was very pleasant and professional. One lockset was on a door that needed to be planed to fit better to fit into the strike plate. The technician offered to plane the top of the door down for us, but we did not have a planer on hand (just moved in.) Thought that was a really nice gesture. Later we noticed one of the locks was jamming now and then. We called for a followup. The appointment was made promptly. The door required redrilling the hole to ensure proper filling into frame. The technicians apologized that the previous technician did not notice it needed to be done. They quickly repaired it at no charge. All the technicians were courteous and cleaned up beautifully after themselves.

I had them re-key locks and pick locks, cut keys and purchased locks from there.  They have proven they are pretty resourceful in helping me with odd things.  I have been using them for at least 2 years, maybe longer.  The price is a little high.  I would use them again.

The people were nice, their response was quick, but they didn't get the job done and we had to get another locksmith to come.

They're nice people, but I wouldn't recommend going there for keys that require highly precise duplication.

Technicians showed up with wrong deadbolt for installation. Claimed that the office gave them the wrong information. Were very apologetic. Had to come back several days later with the correct part, charging another partial trip fee. New deadbolt works okay, but sticks a bit. Is keyed correctly to the other locks. I will not use this company again.

Maryann arrived on time for the initial review and estimate. After that, everything went downhill. The work was done in Sept. 2007. The locksmith who did the work succeeded in cracking and ruining the piece between the French doors, thus causing a vulnerability for anyone to push the door open. The front door lock became misaligned because of improper installation making locking the door a tricky feat. It was always my calls that got things moving again and again. Replacement of the French door part and correction of the front door lock alignment was completed in Dec. 2007 (an hour later than the appointment). I have placed two calls (a week apart) requesting a copy of the invoice and receipt, which I have been assured are in the mail.

Very well. Marianne was right on time and did a careful, thorough job. We had one lock that was sticking because of problems with the door frame, and she took extra time with it. She obviously takes pride in the quality of her work. We have four in-your-face "helpful" dogs, and she was wonderful relating with them, which meant a lot to us.

The appointment was easy to make. Marianne showed up on time. She was very pleasant. We had all of our locks re-keyed after moving here. She cleaned up as she worked. We have had similar work done in other cities and I felt that the pricing was competitive.
