I spoke with Mr. Rick Bayless at A Healthier Home. I hired him based on his knowledge, professionalism and expertise. He performed a mold test as well as a home inspection for my house in North Carolina. Mr. Bayless informed me that the test was complete and the results of the test by making a personal call to me as well as sending me and e-mail to verify the findings. Of all the inspectors and professionals who came to our property, Rick was by far the most eye opening. He brought 10-15k dollars of necessary work needed on home to our attention prior to closing so we were able to negotiate a fairer deal with the sellers. NO other even hinted at such drastic bio hazards going on in our future home. With a son with complex health issues this meant so much to us. Would recommend him 1000 times over anyone else!!!

Very professional and did an outstanding job and located many items that needed attention in addition to locating the area of the house causing my smell. Though my exact cause has not been identified many items were ruled out and he provided me with my next steps and best of all offers to aid with any future questions or clarifications. Though I was looking for the cause of the smell in my house he in addition to looking for this issue identified several other issues that could be addressed and improve my home’s efficiency. I would say that he performs one of the best home inspections I have ever seen. He also provides pictures of the issues he discovered making it easier for me to understand what the issue is and how to resolve it. In addition to the photos he also is writing a full write up of his findings. As my sever ice was performed yesterday I have not yet received the formal write up but I expect to receive it during the next few days. I would recommend using his services

He was very knowledgeable. We thought he would take care of any mold he found, but he didn't. The service was a little pricey for what was provided. We were not even provided a report and was asked to write down his recommendations.

You can tell he is very detail oriented and is willing to provide ongoing help if needed. !!!

I heard Rick speak about the importance of having a health checkup for your home to ensure family members were not being exposed to contaminants coming from issues in the home's systems. He was able to identify surface mold, a slow propane leak from water heater, mice issues in ductwork, and high humidity in certain areas of home. He provided straightforward remediation for all issues. I highly recommend Rick for his commitment to not only uncovering issues but his willingness to assist and be a resource throughout the remediation process.
