Dog Guard Charlotte

Service was unprofessional before arrival. I called another dealer to find out that I only had one option for a local installer with Safe Guard, so I proceeded hoping for the best. We chose to use installer rather than Self install because we wanted it into the woods and I knew a professional was better suited to that job than my kids... even though our woods are very thin & I thought the follow up with dogs from the company would be valuable. Steve’s ad states “includes training.” We discussed a price for 4 acres, minimal woods. I had to call multiple times just to get schedules. Texts 3 days in a row with no answer. He didn’t tell me until he showed up for the job that he couldn’t bury in the woods but would simply lay the wire through that area. I’ve spoken with other dealers that say they do bury in the woods unless they are thick. Mine are not. Laying wire on top couldn’t work for us since I plan to clear even further and have Kids romping through there. I had another appointment to get to and he was here to do the work, so everything got changed from what I requested 2 Plus weeks prior when setting up the work. I ended up with a 1 1/2 acre fenced area, all open yard, no poop area in the woods as my dogs are accustomed to. Paid extra for accessories plus paid full quoted price on 4 acres with no indication from him when he left that the work he did was different than quoted. The work that I was told would take a day plus was a 4 1/2 hour job for $600 that was not at all as described when setting up the work. When asked what size area the actual fence ended up being, he said “don’t know what you mean.” After my complaint on the half done job, he offered to leave as is and refund $200, come pull all the wire out including uninstalling the equipment that I own for a refund, or come add loose wire in the woods. None are reasonable offers in my option as none fulfill the job hired. I’m left with 3 1/2 acres less than he quoted me on in addition to dogs pooping in the wrong areas of my property. He states that he’s tried to be fair and will refund no more since I have a working fence. Save yourself the headache and install yourself! This dealer does not communicate or give correct information. I’ll update this review as progress is made in resolving this incomplete job.
