I recently moved to Asheville and have too much stuff to fit in my new place, so I went to Storage Center. I called the day before to see what the cost was, and found out there was only one unit left of the size I needed. Josh offered to hold it for me until the next day without any deposit .... unheard of where I came from! Josh was immediately available when I arrived, and was very friendly and helpful, as was one of the regional managers who happened to be on site. After completing the paperwork we went to my unit. The area is well-lit and easily accessible. The entire facility was clean and well-cared for. The size of my unit is just perfect, and the only reason I have it is because Josh held it as promised.

I called to ensure we could get a tour of the facility and the manager assured us we could and told me who would be there to meet us that morning. We had the tour picked a unit and set-up a reservation with a minimal $25 deposit to hold the unit until we may be ready for it the next month.
Unfortunately our house closing was delayed about another 6 weeks, Josh was able to accommodate us and we went in to sign the documents for the rental a couple of weeks before our house closed in NJ. My one suggestion is that they need to streamline their paperwork, it took forever to get the documents signed and put our information in their system. What I thought should be a 5-10 minute job took well over half an hour. The fellow on the desk was not the on-site manager and seemed very disorganized. The unit I thought I was getting was not reserved for me, but the staff actually swept it out right away. Because the paperwork had taken so long I declined to change the unit to the one my husband and I had actually requested (and was still available).
On the move day, the 18-wheeler moving van had direct access to the loading dock and it was an easy transition into the locker. The on-site manager, Josh, came by to meet us and explain how to get the truck out if we were later than their office hours.
Later, there was a bit of inaccurate information in my billing address when I first got set-up, but Josh responded quickly and I haven't had any problems since. I now pay electronically, get my invoice through email, etc. so it's easy for as long as we'll need it. It's easy to get in and out (we have our own security code) and we have been back to dig out some things and everything seems fine. JoshThe security is 3-fold on site so we are very comfortable having a large portion of our household remain here for the next 6 - 12 months.
