Mr. Gill himself came one day and gave us the estimate. He said it would take about 4 days. Unfortunately it was pretty obvious after that that we were being and quot;worked inand quot; and I HATE that! If my hair stylist tells me to come and she'll work me in, I refuse and make another appointment. That's just me, I guess. And so Chris came out on Thursday and Friday, spent the whole day fixing our shoddy drywall work, mudding, trimming, etc. Everything was fine. I like his work, he's very detailed.
On the Monday after he left, I discovered that underneath the towel on the bath vanity was a crack, and that my vanity was in two pieces. Couldn't believe my eyes. I waited for almost a week for Chris to come forward and tell me what he had done, accident or not, but he didn't. I am very disappointed.
He finished up his part of the job, then Mr. Gill's other crew of two came in one day and did the knock-down on the ceilings. They did a fine job but because there was a definite language barrier, we couldn't really communicate at all. Just nodded and smiled. A few days later Chris came back for the last day. At this point, my husband called Mr. Gill and told him about the vanity. He said he'd see what happened and get back with him. A day or two later I got a call from Chris wanting to know how we wanted to handle the vanity issue. I wasn't sure how to respond so I asked my husband to call Mr. Gill and they could hash it out. He said he was and quot;sorry for the troubleand quot;. You mean you're sorry you broke the vanity or sorry you got caught?
Anyway, Mr. Gill was very accommodating. He had Chris come out one more day to do some detailed finishing of the drywall around the outlets, something we didn't know how to do. I gave him a check for Mr. Gill that day. And the next morning he returned for about an hour and sanded those areas. And that was it.
