I would highly recommend Air Vent Exteriors for your window installation. We purchased an older home that needed all windows replaced and Air Vent came in at a competitive price, were very responsive and professional, they kept me in the loop on the delivery date since everything had been delayed due to Covid, and did a great job installing the windows.

They did excellent work. Very courteous and friendly. Very good communication during the project. They kept us informed about developments as the project proceeded. There were a few items that were unclear from the sales process to the actual construction. These were cleared up satisfactorily. The work is very efficient. The basic structure was completed in four days. The entire project lasted about three weeks but the delays had to do with back ordered materials and inspections, both of which were beyond the control of Air Vent.

COVID-19 created some waiting issues, but this could not be helped by the company. Once the installation started, it was very smooth. The 2 men were professional and willing to answer any questions we had. They always asked if we had any comments or questions before leaving for the night and kept their workspace free from loose materials. Our new porch is beautiful and we are very happy with it. It makes the space look and feel large and we have used it everyday since installation.

Fabric choices were excellent, and AirVent personnel were familiar with HOA rules, so we listened to their advice. Final result is very attractive and functional. Delivery took place well within the promised timeframe, and installation was done smoothly, cleanly, and in a matter of only a few hours. As a nice touch after the fact, we received a pretty little basket of candies and snack treats from AirVent a couple of weeks later; a few dollars on their part, but thoughtful.

I was extremely pleased with the company. All the workers were extremely courteous and friendly. Everyone was punctual. they worked hard and did an excellent job. I've had the sunroom now for 4 years and I couldn't be more pleased. The next year I had the pergola installed. There were design problems with it. I called the company and they immediately sent someone to check it out. They disassembled the entire structure, redesigned it, and reinstalled it. I've had no problems with it since then. Both structures are virtually no maintenance; I love them.

The product function and quality is excellent. The installation was very good, but it seemed there was too much figuring it out onsite. The awning still operates so all is well.

Excellent. Price significantly better than competitors. Worked around my holiday schedule. They looked out for our interest by taking advantage of a window mfgr's special and did an upgrade on my windows to triple pane. The installation went beautifully. Company went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. Installation is key; these guys are the best. No matter how the wind blows, my windows are airtight. Highly recommend them. Planning on them to do my doors next. Great company. You won't be disappointed.

They did an excellent job installing the sunroom. It was necessary to first build a deck on which to install the sunroom. they did a topnotch job on the deck. The sunroom was a custom build. It was the largest they had done up to that point. It turned out beautifully. It's been several years and I've had no problems. The following year I had a pergola installed by them. Several months after installation it was obvious that the pergola swayed in the wind. They came out, totally dismantled the pergola, reworked the supports and rebuilt the pergola. that was 2 years ago and the pergola hasn't budged an inch since then. I've been very pleased with with all the work they've done. If there's a problem, they fix it--no questions asked. I recently contacted them regarding entry doors. They were extremely accommodating, to the point of getting a sample for me to check whether it met my needs. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a door to suit me, so I didn't use their services this time.

Installers did an outstanding job and were finished slightly earlier than expected. They were also very professional, courteous, and on time. They framed around the front window (a side glass next to the front door) so the new white window trim did not stand out, which made for a pleasing look. That was extra effort on their part.

From the first visit to assess the space for my sunroom to coming back to check on a lock problem with the door, this company has been nothing less than exceptional. I always knew what and when to expect them and they followed through with everything they said they would do, including installing a ceiling fan/light and adding latticework to the outside of my deck (on which the sunroom was installed), all without extra charges. I can't say enough good things about their professionalism, communication, and quality. I love my sunroom!

October 7, 2016 I hired Air Vent in May 2016 to replace an existing awning at a cost of 4K, it is a fairly large awning. Approx 20 ft by 25 ft. The installation began in June It was a problem from the beginning. I picked a solid fairly dark brown tweed fabric, as I thought I would see less stains. The salesman neglected to tell me that this material was translucent (which I was told by another company). When the sun is shining the awning is now a lighter tan color. The salesman neglected to tell me that the seams are done with heat tape. The heat tape is a dark brown and now the awning is now striped. If I had wanted a striped awning I would have ordered a striped material. I paid for a solid color awning. So, from the beginning I had an uninformed and inexperienced salesman. The awning was finally installed in June. It did not fit. It had to all be taken down and modified. Upon the second installation the 2 panels were full of wrinkles and leaked tremendously where the awning met the gutter. They did fix one panel, but did not address or fix the leak, nor the other panel. After 2 months of broken promises, unreturned phone calls and emails I backed it off my credit card. Of course that got their attention. Part of this process was to call in another awning company to assess the situation and write me a letter stating the issues and cost to repair. I first called one awning company who was nice enough to come out. He found issues, but would not write a letter. I can only surmise that they do work together on some jobs. (which is what he told me) He did contact Air Vent and the leak was addressed and some wrinkles on the other panel. Another large wrinkle remains, there are also smaller wrinkles in the corner, which are not that visible. Bob Carnes told me that with an awning of this size there is bound to be wrinkles. The other awning did not have 1 wrinkle, nor did it looked striped. He refuses to address the remaining wrinkles and the stripes. I then called in another awning company. When he looked at it, he knew exactly who installed it without me telling him. He also told me that if he was a consumer he would not have been happy with it either. Of course they would not write me a letter either. My opinion of this is that they do not want to step on each others toes. I was told by one of these other awning companies that the seams should have been put over the rafters, as if that was done, it would not have looked striped. It might have resulted in additional cost, but I was not even given the opportunity to decide. Bob Carnes told me his company has been experiencing growth, as what was mentioned in a response to another dissatisfied customer. If you do not have the man power to provide quality work, then maybe they should not over extend yourself and do sub standard work. It has been 4 months since the initial installation and some of the issues still remain. Needless to say, I lost my case with the credit card company, as the other 2 awning companies would not write me a letter explaining the issues, which they both admitted to me that there were . In my opinion, they took my money and ran and do not stand behind what they claim to provide.

"We wanted to take our time to post our response in order to ensure that we had done our due diligence and that we explored every avenue possible in order to resolve the issues you have had with our awning manufacturing and installation. We regret that you are not happy with the product provided with our company. In order to adequately respond to this review, we would like to summarize the job and the processes that we went through in order to satisfy this complaint. To summarize; a member of our sales team was authorized to proceed with an order for a product that we classify as a "re-cover". This is a replacement canvas cover for an existing awning. The original awning was approximately 12-15 years old and was present when the client purchased the home. This particular patio awning has a very unconventional size and shape. When our installation team installed the replacement canvas cover, the overall fit and finish was very good but not considered acceptable to the client. Over a period of several months from the time of the initial installation, we sent staff members (without charge) on multiple occasions to try to improve the overall appearance of the awning in order to satisfy the client even though we sincerely feel that our initial design and installation met our extremely high standard for quality. We regret that we were not able to meet her level of expectation. One of the complaints specifically mentions a "striped" effect. The product used on the awning is a premium grade canvas and is regarded as one of the most durable materials available. This canvas, like any canvas product, will have some translucency depending upon color. During fabrication, the canvas is overlapped and seamed together. These seams can be either stitched or heat sealed. Most of the awnings that we fabricate have heat sealed seams for the sake of durability. In either case, when the material is overlapped, this area is a double thickness and creates a darker line. This effect is unavoidable and, honestly, in over 30 years of making awnings, has never been brought up prior to this complaint. We are confident that our company has provided a good product at a good value that will stand the test of time. However, due to the frequency of complaints to us and the manufacturer of the canvas, and based on our numerous conversations with the manufacturer, they have indicated that they are considering issuing a refund equivalent to the cost of the awning. We sincerely hope that this resolves the issue to your satisfaction."
