As I explained above I paid the bill, but I was grossly overcharged. My furnace failed again three weeks later but I did not call him. The new contractor identified that the furnace had been put back together in a hurry and connections had come undone, causing the furnace to fail. This is an example of unprofessional work. I cannot take a chance on this equipment failing this winter, so I will never use Superior Residential again. And I recommend homeowners find another contractor besides this company! Nothing personal, just expect a professional to be professional when charging professional prices.
Description of Work
Provider installed part, under maintenance contract, which in my opinion was vastly overpriced. I checked with other vendors and supply houses and found the part they replaced was over priced about 400%. I called the owner, Rodney Bird and complained before paying the bill. I explained my research and why I thought I was overcharged. He counted and refused to reduce his charges, claiming he used better parts. I examined this further and determined he used standard parts. I asked him to reduce my bill since I was a loyal client. He refused. I told him I would be leaving him otherwise. He once again refused. I believe he obviously doesn't value my business. I was overcharged.

We had two other estimates. They were not the cheapest or the most expensive. Frankly our dog picked them out. It was a good choice and they did a great job. We would absolutely use them again.

Did not use because price quoted was double other HVAC folks. They never followed-up to ask about bid which is poor business. Would never use!

Description of Work
The air conditioning unit stopped working in a heat wave. They came the same day and fixed the problem, which turned out to be electrical and nothing major. Relief number 1, there was no attempt to upsell a new unit etc. During the investigation he found a filter that needed changing, so I asked him to do that and check the filter for the other unit. A bit of a crawl in the crawl space but he said the other filter was fine, no attempt to upsell again. We paid the bill of $250 and were very pleased to have got off so lightly. Three days later we received a letter returning our check!!! They had reviewed the bill and believed the technician had overcharged us by $120 dollars, so were sending us the check back and asked us to pay the lesser amount!!! Incredible, that is a first.

The air conditioning sudddenly stopped operating. The repairman replaced the filters and thawed the frozen unit in the attic and cleaned up the wet mess. The outside unit would not function properly;so he tested the motor and found the bearings had lost their oil and were burned out. He ordered a new motor. The freon caps were loose, shich allowed the freon to leak out. The repairman tightened the caps and put 3 pounds of freon into the units. He was then able to get the motors to start. Superior office determined that the motor was under warranty and ordered it (because of special size and capacity it is not a stock motor). The motor arrived in three days and the repairman replaced it promptly.

Unfroze attic unit. Replaced freon in upstairs and downstairs outside units. Replaced motor (bad ball bearings).

I am an elderly woman so I appreciate a good company when I find one. This group cleaned up after themselves and showed up on time. I want to say I paid over five thousand dollars for this job but I forget things sometimes so I am really unsure of what the total cost was. I felt good about hiring this company.
Description of Work
Superior changed out my entire heating unit in my 1500 square foot home. Their work included taking out my old system and putting in a new one.
