WEST/DEX Builders

I do not recommend West/Dex builders! Owner David does not oversee his workers, takes on other jobs, thus delaying yours and makes excuses for poor quality work. David had a person staining our deck who had no experience and it looks like it. Deck has to be sanded to correct all the drips, runs, pooling, brush marks from applying stain across the grain and not stirring the stain, plus numerous areas were there is no stain at all. Water is leaking in between the house, the ledger board and the sillplate on the grill deck. Water is also wicking up the wall where the siding was cut, damaging wood plank siding. Owner stated he has fulfilled his contract.

David and his assistant did a fantastic job of helping us get rid of our neglected/decrepit 20+ year old "builder's special" deck and rebuilding a new deck. From the initial estimate (where he caught an issue which needed to be addressed in order to meet code requirements - only one I spoke to who did) to the final staining, they were very honest and hardworking. They did the work agreed to in our contract and handled getting the permits/inspection from the town. The attention to detail on our deck is apparent - edges were carefully rounded off/sanded, quality deck screws were used instead of cheap nails, lattice work was carefully measured and took into account the incline of our backyard.. You can tell David is someone who cares about his work and doesn't try and cut corners. They didn't come in as the lowest bid, but when you are investing money for a new deck, you want it to last. Definitely recommend using David for your deck/other needs - he knows what he is doing and gets the job done.

They did a great job. They did good quality work. They finished on time and were very easy to work with.
