We had birds flying in and out of one or two of our vents and had never cleaned our dryer vent (in 8 years), so it was time. John arrived as he said he would, cleaned the dryer vent which was packed, and then at my request, added a plastic cage around each of the vents to keep birds from going in any more. Two hours later he was done. It was $125 for the dryer vent and $15 each for the vent covers (we had 5).

He's very knowledgeable, and shared a little of his 12 years of experience. Dryer vents are an overlooked area of homes, and can cause fires if not cleaned regularly. Clogged vents also cause dryers to malfunction, so before you replace your dryer, be sure to get your hose and vent checked.

John Parsons was professional from the initial contact by telephone.  He explained that the cleaning would cost $125 as long as the current dryer vent duct was not plastic.  Based on the age of the house, it was possible the duct could be plastic and if it was he would have to replace it and the cost would be higher.   He was able to schedule the service for two days after my call and he arrived promptly and got right to work.  He confirmed the duct had been plastic at one time because it was still under the house but it had been replaced and was up to code.  He cleaned the duct and said it went from probably 10% flow to 100%.  Clothes should dry faster and the electric bill should actually decrease.  I highly recommend Vent and Duct Solutions.

I called John and he came out to do the work on the same day. John was through and explained what I should do to maintain a clean dryer vent moving forward anf how often it should be cleaned. John arrived on time, was an expert and pricing was reasonable.

John was great! There was a mix up and he arrived early so was done by the time of the appointment. He cleaned out the lint and moved the dryer back. Couldn't tell he'd been there! This is the 2nd time I've used him and will definitely use him again!
