Storm Guard

They put a new roof on in April of 2019. They put the wrong size vent on the rear porch which they fixed. The kitchen leaked in a year exactly where it leaked when State Farm agent recommended them to me and vouched for their work. Then the upstairs leaked about 6 months after the kitchen was fixed. Then the Kitchen leaked again. March of 2024 they fixed the upstairs after it leaked a second time. Today 30 days after the warranty the front porch leaked at the flashing. Horrible workmanship and I have issued the day of installation with damages.

We have been very happy with our new roof and gutters from Storm Guard. Justin and his crew took the stress out of a big project. Professional, on time , quality work and in budget. No surprises. Would definitely recommend ??

My husband and I recommend Storm Guard. Their estimate is honest and complete no hidden fees and nothing is missing that is required. They warranty their work and they were early on the job.

Storm Guard did everything they said they would and more. They were a pleasure to work with and I have recommended them to my family and friends.

The new roof went fine however within 14 months there was a streaming leak down the interior walls. A separate roofing contractor looked at the hip above the leak and stated that the flashing was insufficient. He recommended contacting StormGuard to repair it as warranty work. StormGuard came, looked at the hip area and announced that a rotted trim piece caused the leak. We went right up the chain to the owner all of whom refused to honor their warranty. I would't recommend them - charming until their inferior work is called to their attention.

Quick response to request for quotation. Received detailed description of materials and work to be performed. Vendor was responsive to our revisions. Obliged to pay 1/3 down (credit card accepted) when contracting and balance on completion. Materials arrived at 6:15am, 8 man crew arrived at 6:45am. Set up and work was underway by 7:00am. Crew completed job by 5:30pm. They worked efficiently with a good division of labor. Boards were replaced as necessary. New roof looks great; no problems noted after several rain storms. Excellent cleanup...only found 3 nails and a couple of bits of shingle. Note to customers: protective tarpaulins are heavy by themselves and may crush floral bushes (Crepe Myrtles, Rose of Shannon, etc.) and flowers. Put out stakes/poles, lawn chairs, and/or ladders to reduce direct contact. Very satisfied with the installation.

The crew showed up on time, worked hard all day, cleaned up like they had never been here all day and did an awesome job! Honestly if you are in the market for a new roof give your business to StormGuard!

What I really appreciated was the fact that StormGuard took care of all the interactions with my insurance company (my replacement was the result of hail damage). This saved time. They scheduled the work quickly and completed it efficiently. And they immediately did two touch ups I requested. Top notch service.

After the freak hailstorm that rolled through here last September we were left with a leaking roof, broken windows, dented gutters, trashed screens...my neighborhood looked like a war zone. I called Tim that night and he was here helping make sure we had what we needed until insurance adjusters could come out and we could start the work. I wish I could say everything went smooth, but it didn’t. However, it wasn’t because of anything StormGuard did. There were THOUSANDS is houses that needed work and on the tail end of a horrific hurricane season it put adjusters behind and materials (especially windows) on backorder. BUT Tim walked me through everything and kept me in the loop through this whole ordeal. I could not have asked for more (except maybe the storm not hitting, but hey that’s a little out of the question). I have and would recommend them to anyone needing repairs. They did a phenomenal job and addressed any questions or concerns I had. Thank you Tim & the whole StormGuard crew!

Everything went flawless. I worked with Sonny the entire time and he made sure that everything was taken care of. The workers who did the job were excellent, very efficient and very cordial. The family is happy with the new roof and I am very happy with it as well they did a great job.

I rarely write reviews simply due to time, but I felt I needed to make the time to share an amazing experience we had with Storm Guard (Chris Cohen) who installed a new roof on our house. My wife and I are very particular with the contractors we hire due to having had our fair share of bad experiences. When a coworker recommended Chris Cohen - Storm Guard of Apex, we immediately started searching for reviews and feedback. There were a few reviews online for Chris and his team, all positive, but not a lot period. That said, after meeting with Chris multiple times in person where he talked us through the process, answering all our questions and provided references for us to talk to, we hired him to install our new roof. We’re so thankful we took the step forward and hired Chris for our roof! Don’t let the limited number of online reviews for Storm Guard of Apex scare you away from this great group of local roofing professionals. Chris worked with us every step of the way to make sure we were 100% satisfied. This was no small project either. It involved a large roof with complex lines and various skylights. Chris was onsite every day with his crew who worked sunup to sundown for 3 days straight. They used high quality materials across the board from CertainTeed Landmark architectural shingles, to synthetic roof barrier and ice/water shielding. I cannot say enough positive things about our roof replacement experience with Chris Cohen and Storm Guard of Apex.

Spectacular! From beginning to end, I probably dealt with 5 individuals, aside from the crew themselves, and each person was a pleasure to deal with. Very smooth operation and I never thought this process would be so easy. The crew did a fantastic job with no issue. I'm so thankful I hired this team for my roof.
