The job was done very well.

He is experienced and detail oriented. I been doing real estate since 2006 I never had this great of experience. I have use big name and small companies but I not much impressed. Charles is the most honest person for doing business again.

We used Chuck to perform a full home inspection prior to purchasing our new home. He was easy to work with and made the entire process simple. Chuck throughly evaluated the major systems and roof...and while he findings were negative (in his words, "your roof is leaking like a sieve") he was able to fully discuss the condition and help us determine if we should move forward. In our case we knew the roof needed to be replaced we just didn't realize it would be the week after we closed on the house.
We would use Chuck again, without question, and will recommend him in the future to anyone who asks.

We recently bought an older home, and I wanted an independent evaluation of the roof from someone who wasn't going to try to sell me something.  I called Chuck and lined up the inspection.  He was able to meet me on the date I requested and arrived promptly at 9am as scheduled despite the relatively long drive to my home. 



I was impressed when the first thing he did was climb into the attic.  He spent a good amount of time checking out the interior before he went outside and walked the roof.  He asked questions about the home's history and then took me outside to look at the roof and go over his findings.  This was later followed up with a concise written report with photos. 



I thought the $15 travel fee was reasonable, though I think $150 for just a roof inspection is a little high compared to similar inspections I've had in the past.  However, being a bit rural, I have a hard time getting some of the more competitive contractors out here.  And since I agreed to the price up front - I certainly can't complain.  He did exactly what he said he would for the price quoted.  However, I did notice that the fees quoted for "whole house" inspections on his website are lower than average compared to other inspectors.  If you're looking for a full home inspection, you'll definitely get a bargain there. 



Chuck was very friendly and personable, but also professional.  He came in, went right to work, and saved the small talk until after the job was done -- and I like that.  He seemed very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions.  I received the written report promptly as promised.  I would definitely recommend his services for similar inspection and consulting jobs in the future.

Chuck is a professional. I am a licensed Realtor and have used Chuck almost exclusively for the past many years which says a lot right there. Chuck is thorough and doesn't miss anything, while at the same time not scaring people from making the home purchase unless absolutely necessary. He takes the time to show buyers problems with the home, but with caution. He understands that no home is perfect and readily offers simple fixes when available . If there is something of significance, he on the other hand offers advice about the fix and always insists the buyer have a professional repair made. When my own three children decided on purchasing their first homes, Chuck was the person I had inspect their homes. I would highly recommend Chuck Porter!!
