Called master home repair about mold in our bathroom he was very quick to come out and always responded to my phone calls. I was asked for a 200 deposit I signed no contract, but had to cancel my appointment a few days later due to the fact that the wood that had all the mold on it could not be saved meaning we had to gut it out and replace the wood it was rotted and coming apart, and my husband didnt want to pay 975.00 to remove mold so I have been trying to contact company since! i cancelled on friday april 20th about returning my deposit and I never get a phone call back. I finally got a phone call back on tuesday 24th saying my deposit would be mailed back. i have been calling non stop since and still have not recieved my deposit i may have to go to small claims court

The agreement that was made between myself and the client was that there was a $200.00 nonrefundable deposit, the client like all of my other clients, knew this up front and when she gave me the check for the down payment this was understood. She called 8 – 10 hours before the job was to begin, cancelled by telling me that if I do the job her husband will not pay for the work. I told her that I am assuming that we will not be doing the job. I hung up the phone and I thought that was it. She called me and wanted to whole deposit back, I told her that the deposit paid for our time and getting materials and that I couldn’t return it. She became very upset. She called the BBB and Angie’s List for the reason of getting her money back. I will provide a list of my clients who also know that I have this down payment policy, and the also agreed to this. Unless cancelled within 48 hours of the starting of the job.
