 + -1 moreOverall very pleased with the quality of the work but was displeased to find that he was unwilling to correct problem area with the steps after we tried to clarify what was needed. He did not even offer to redo the steps with just the cost of the materials given I had initially given him a $50.00 tip. He only offered to give me the tip money back. He was prompt and preferred to work in the mornings and not in the heat of the day which was fine. He gave good suggestions and was very knowledgable about several projects.
Description of Work: Rebuilt back stairs off deck and was to replace the steps in the front . He ended up just replacing the top wood of the steps in the front. Also adjusted two inside doors. Secured the footing under the deck and secured fence post and gate. Well I was initially very pleased but then asked Mr. Kirk back to further discuss the front steps after hearing from others that the steps were in need of moving the rise to a lower level to be in better compliance with the existing railing. He had just replaced the top wood on the existing steps and not the entire steps so he never replaced the actual rising or level of the steps in relationship to the railing. I requested it be fixed and he did not feel he should do so as he felt it was not in agreed upon cost of what I thought would be included to replace the steps if necessary. So he did not feel obliged to make it right so will find someone else to do so.
