We met with Jeff the first of June 2014 to discuss hiring him as the structural engineer in building our new home. We provided him with well prepared and detailed information on our project and agreed to his fee after he assured us he would be able to begin immediately and was able to complete the project on our timeline. He knew as soon as he completed the engineering plans we would be applying for the Building permit and ready to build immediately. After 5 weeks all we had was a generic layout of the walls with basic bath fixtures.
In 5 weeks he accomplished what my wife was able to duplicate with a trial version of the same software he used and did it in one afternoon. And she wasn't familiar with any of this nature. The only time he communicated with us was when we contacted him first because we hadn't heard anything for a week and even then his reply was vague. It appeared he didn't want to communicate with us because he hadn't made any progress. Jeff lacked interest in completing our project and after 5 weeks when I inquired about how much longer it may take he emailed me a rude response out of the blue on July 10th and quot;terminating our relationshipand quot; and told us to go find someone else to do the project. Jeff was horrible at communicating with us, unprofessional, rude and will end up costing us 6-8 weeks time in getting our project underway. That's another 2 months of renting etc.... It was obvious he had no sense of responsibility as a licensed engineer in his obligation to complete what he started. I would not trust Jeff to ever use him in the future.

Jeff was very helpful and knowledgeable, and I would recommend him if you need a structural engineer to check on your house.
My home inspector listed Jeff among a few engineers I might consult regarding a couple of potential concerns: a crack in the foundation and a crack between the chimney and the house. Jeff was able to visit the house a few days later, and in our conversations and his report he demonstrated his experience and knowledge. He was very thorough in talking the issues through with me, and his report clearly addressed our questions and provided an outline for what we might do.

Jeff was very accomodating in working with our schedule and very prompt with providing the paperwork we needed to meet our deadline. Would definitely call him again if we need something in his field.

Jeff was great. He came out on a Saturday, which hugely benefited the family since we did not live in the area. He was knowledgeable and thorough, giving us suggestions for immediate improvements that would not cost us an arm and leg, before jumping to the most expensive solution. For follow up, he took pictures and sent a report that reflected exactly what he'd told us the day he was there.

Jeff provided the drawings and also provided recommendations on how we could save some money and do some of the repair work ourselves. He was also helpful in explaining all the details and what needed to be done to make our garage structually sound.

Jeffrey Moss was prompt, knowledgeable and provided a very detailed report. I had a follow up question weeks later and he called me back promptly and is very good at answering his emails too. I highly recommend him.

Jeff was prompt in both scheduling and getting the inspection done and letter sent to the permit office. We were required to have a structural engineer evaluate our porch addition in order to obtain approval from the town. He took care of performing the inspection, writing the letter, and following up with the permit office.
