I can't speak for their quality of work because I can't get them to come out. My wife and I had them out the first week of April and signed their quote that day because we wanted to ensure we could get the work done by the end of June to coincide with other projects we're getting done to our backyard. However, even though we signed that day, it took us over a month to get in touch with them to pay the deposit and get on the schedule. After threatening to go somewhere else, they finally called around mid May and we were able to pay the deposit and schedule them to come out July 12th. We then coordinated the installation of a retaining wall to accommodate for a section of where the fence will be going. This was completed a couple weeks out and I called the the guy at Harrison to see about him coming out to do what they needed to do be able to do the install around the retaining wall. He said he would coordinate with the guy from the company doing the wall. So, I figured everything was on track. Well, Three days out from when they were due to come out, my wife called them to confirm because we, nor the guy doing the retaining wall, had heard anything. Well, wouldn't you know, the girl told my wife that they weren't coming out and couldn't give us a new date because they didn't have the materials. She said that they would be in touch two weeks out because that's when they get confirmation that materials have shipped from their supplier. We've still not heard anything. None of this adds up to me. The guy never told me that there may be an issue with making the July 12th date when I called and talked to him about the area with the retaining wall. Also, when my wife called and paid the deposit and got on the schedule almost two months ahead of time, it was never communicated that we should be aware of possible delays due to the materials not arriving on time. This tells me two things, either Harrison is completely unconcerned with customer service and treats their clients like they're disposable. Or, they're dishonest and/or incompetent and either purposefully or accidentally used the materials originally slated for our job on another and don't want to tell us. Either way, they are completely unprofessional and I wish my wife weren't in the position to where we'd just wait about as long if we cancel the work Harrison is supposed to do for us and go with another company as we would if we just wait on Harrison to do what they originally promised. Either way, it's frustrating because our entire backyard project is delayed due to Harrison. So, I write this to say, if you don't care when or if your project get's done, by all means go through Harrison. But, if you actually want to give your money to someone that respects their clients enough to communicate with them or actually do the work they're supposed to do, please go with someone else.

Had only heard great things about this company, so picked them to do our install. Long story short, if you can stand to deal with unreliable people and no integrity, you’ll eventually get a great looking fence. Scheduling was botched. We were told a few weeks if we signed contract ASAP.. we did, but then they didn’t schedule us and we had to wait and get in line after asking where they were. When they came, fence installers were great, fence looked great with exception of some nails sticking out. They did hit the irrigation line even though we marked the sprinklers but it’s not like there were lines on ground for pipes, so we are the cost on that. We were told staining takes a month or so to start as fence has to sit.. we then spent significant energy and time tracking them down to do the stain and repair the fence (literally months of trying to just get a cal back). Even called and emailed the owner... and then we got a call back, but was ghosted again after they sent staining contract and we signed/returned. Only reliable person in the company has been Shauna from finance. Now the stain is done, fence looks great, but the gate doesn’t work... been waiting nearly 2 months now for them to send a repair person... when they repeatedly don’t show, it’s because someone is fired or injured, etc. which I’m sad to hear, but as a customer it would be nice to get a courtesy call. For the repair, I even tried to sweeten the pot with a request for a quote to expand a part of the fence.. thinking maybe Covid, etc has taken its toll... I’ve finally resolved that the company is terrible, but the labor they hire for the install and staining is great. We are 8 months into dealing with them and still have a gate that doesn’t latch and a promise they’ll eventually fix it... which sucks considering we moved into the house in March needing a fence ASAP as we have pets and small children next to a busy road.. Dec.. still not done and there has been no lack of effort on our side.

Company communicates poorly (rescheduling of appointment with no communication of such). When they did finally come to do the work (three weeks later) they hit an underground line exactly where the locate showed it to be. When they came back for the second visit (to clean up the mess they left behind from the first visit) they hit a different underground line exactly where I told the crew that it was. In both instances Harrison hid behind their liability waiver, and claimed that "they are better than anyone else doing fence work." What I experienced begs to differ. Saying you're the best, and showing you're the best, are two very different things...

Harrison fence built our fence 6” inside of our property line and when we asked about it, they said their reasoning was that if we needed to access the outside of our fence, we’d be stepping on our own property instead of our neighbors’ property. Ok. Now they want to build our neighbors’ fence to ours, so we’ll loose 6” of our property on either side. We weren’t given any other option to place our fence closer to our property line and Harrison had the survey and should have advised us of ALL of our options before proceeding. Also, their gate latches suck and we’ve had them repaired once already in 6 months of ownership and they still don’t close right. Very disappointed to lose property and very disappointed that we were lied to. Now we won’t be able to access those 6” at all. Thank, Harrison. Also, they’re too expensive. Neighbors who use cheaper companies seem happier with their work. Our fence was $2,000 more than Superior Fence. Also they never answer their phone when called. Don’t recommend.

HORRIBLE. Scam artists. Shawn came to our house. He spoke with me, and then with my wife. Said they are the only "one stop shopping" company for materials, work, staining. Then, BOOM, we got charged an additional $540 without authorization on our credit card. My attempts to call them have not been returned. Again, my wife and I were told the SAME THING on two separate occasions! After it was installed, they completely messed up our drainage system and my yard now floods along the fence. Move on to someone else. This company is not good, as well as they are dishonest. Shame on you, Harrison Fence.

Miscommunication is abundant. Quality of connections between boards is poor. Many of the boards used were cracked or damaged but still used on the fence. Install date was delayed 3 times and not once was it communicated to us.

Note: I hate giving bad reviews - I would rather work it out with the company and give them the chance to salvage the situation. I emailed this (almost word for word) when we received the final bill. They responded saying that they were sorry to hear of my experience and would forward my email on to the office manager and owner. (They were copied on the email) That was three weeks ago and I have not received a response. We waited almost two months for an appointment because they came highly recommended. I was told I would need to meet with the crew for 10-15 minutes on the first day of installation,to review the survey and they would show up between 8:30 -9:30, and could expect them to arrive on the earlier side since they are in Apex. The crew showed up at 9:30 and I was with them for 60-90 minutes because they explained that they needed the survey pins, not the survey to put in the fence, which is not what was described by the sales rep. They spent time taking measurements but said that if I wanted them to work off the survey I would need to sign a waiver of liability since they could not work off the survey. I expressed my displeasure that I did not feel that I needed to sign anything because the salesman said all we needed was a survey - not the pins. The crew said that the sales guys don't always know what the crew needs. So we were delayed on Day 1 so I could arrange to have the pins reinstalled in the back of our lot. After the survey was completed, I called to schedule Day 2 only to find that Day 2 had already been scheduled for the following day - even though no one told us or confirmed that the survey had been completed. However, Day 2 of installation went much smoother as the project manager came out early (7:45 AM) to verify the position of the back fence. The Day 2 crew stayed until 8:30 at night to get the job done and only left without completing the arbor. (Fair enough, it was dark) Kudos to the Project Manager and Day 2 Crew - they made us feel like we were over the hurdles of getting this completed. A day or two later, we were notified about the when the arbor would be completed. Great! In a follow-up email I asked about when the staining would be scheduled. We were shocked when we received not a schedule but a second quote. In our first meeting with the sales rep we asked for a full quote to include staining. He said he would need to find out the cost of the specific type of stain. We received one quote and he never mentioned that it did not include stain. We only learned this week that not only we were not getting stain but instead being asked to spend an additional $1200 to have our fence stained. The Sales rep called and said he forgot to send the 2nd quote but honestly, it feels more like a bait and switch tactic and an attempt to up-sell us at the end of the project. We never would have expected to receive two quotes for one project - we asked for a quote based on our discussion and received a quote. No clarification or statement saying that the stain quote would be coming separately. When we spoke to the sales rep he offered nothing other than an off-handed apology and a new quote. So at the end of this 2+ month project, the fence looks good, seems structurally sound, but it is still unfinished and we are left feeling like we were taken for a ride. The experience has been a series of 'miscommunications' that either demonstrate a lack of understanding of the process on the part of the sales team or a sales tactic to increase revenue. Either way, it doesn't convey much confidence to the customer.

From the initial contact through the installation, Harrison Fence did a wonderful job. The salesman, Jeff C., came out and provided his estimate. Jeff was a pleasure to speak with. There was no attempt at any up-sell. The estimate did come out higher than a competitor, so Jeff asked for that estimate to see if they could match. They not only matched it, but I was able to get a little more fence than I did with the other company. When the installation date arrived, Desmond asked to review the job. He is beyond professional and gave me a pretty spot on estimation of the time it would take to complete the job. Once the job was complete, Desmond joined me in my final walk through of the inspection explaining fully what was done. He took the time to explain the gate hardware, which may not seem like much, but it is a little detail like that that is appreciated. I want to thank Harrison Fence for a project well done.

The sales gentleman, Ethan, was phenomenal. He took time to come out and quote our yard well before we were planning on getting the fence. He also came back out and re-quoted it after we found out our neighbors would not let us share their fence. This was the best experience we had and it all went downhill from here. We signed our contract and mailed the 50% check on a Friday and they called Monday to schedule the install dates. On Tuesday, after no rain, they called back to say that rain delays caused them to push our install date back another 2 weeks. They settled for a week later install date when I expressed my discomfort with their reasoning. They were scheduled to come out and put the posts in on a Thursday and come back Saturday to complete the install. Thursday they arrived promptly and walked us through everything. Saturday no one called or showed up. It was not raining at all either. We left 3 messages this day concerned that we were heading out of town on Sunday and no one bothered to pick up the phone to let us know they weren't showing up. On Monday (while on vacation) we had to call again because no one still had returned our calls. We were transferred to the install number and had to leave another message. Two hours later we called again finally speaking to someone. They stated the guys were at our house and working diligently. We reached out to our neighbors who sent us pictures of their workers laying on our porch and no work had been done by 1:00 pm. Around 4:00 pm they blew a breaker and lost power to the outside of the house. They knocked on our neighbors door and asked to use their power. We were then informed that the girl that initially scheduled our install is no longer with the company and stated that it should have been a 3 day install not a 2 day install. So the project that was supposed to be completed on Saturday now was not to be completed until Wednesday. The workers were back on Wednesday where we again found them laying on our porch not doing any work. There were 2 workers initially but the 1 guy that was laying on our porch wasn't doing any work and they had to send another guy out to help. Those 2 worked hard until 10:00 pm on Wednesday night to complete the project as they promised they would. We spoke with probably 4 different office contacts in which they kept blaming the fact that the turnover in the office is the reasoning for most of the confusion. They asked if we needed them to stain the fence for another $1200 and we said no thanks. Not worth the hassle. Yes the fence looks amazing but the headache that went with it compared to the price was not worth it. Go to Home Depot and a contracting company called Big Jerry's will do the same fence (looks great) for half the price and no headache.

Reliable & trustworthy. Harrison Fence did what they said they were going to do when they said they were going to do it and a competitive price. Customer service was outstanding. Our aluminum fence driveway gate was delayed by the manufacturer and Harrison Fence found another supplier and delivered the job on time. Quality of fence and install is excellent. Every member of their team was courteous and professional. Great communication. Highly recommended

Scheduling the fence was not a good experience. Our initial install date was pushed back by a week and a half because of rain delays at other projects. That was understandable but not ideal. On the day of install, they called at 9 to say the crew would be there around 1 because of delays. That afternoon they called to say it would be the next day instead. That was a day wasted for us waiting around the house to meet the crew. Finally the crew showed up the day after the scheduled install to begin. It started as a one day job and quickly became clear they would need two days. On day two, they struck our very visibly marked cable line (flags and spray paint and a verbal reminder) knocking out cable and Internet to our house, where one of us works from home. To finish off day two, parts were not out on the truck and the last gate could not be installed, making this one day job a three day job. We love how the fence looks and so far it seems to be well installed. However, we will not in good faith recommend this company to anyone. The price was good but the frustration of delays and the cable line put us over the edge.

The product is fine. The results are fine. The process was anything but fine. Overall, it felt like a "bait and switch." Getting someone to come out, analyze the project, makes notes and talk about it getting done was very easy. The sales person was great and left me with a lot of confidence the job would get done well. That was the "bait." Once we decided to go through with the project, it got tough. To initialize the work, you're doing to have to digitally sign several document before they'll set up an appointment. And you'll have to pay half up front. After all of this, I felt like that was the problem. They had me on the hook for 1/2 of the cost and my signature on documents, they had NO INCENTIVE to get things moving. I had to call them for a date, and when I did, it was 4 weeks out, even though I told them up front that that's all the time I had. They told me weather delays might happen, and I could accept those, but they didn't tell me up front before signing/paying that it would take 4+ weeks at a minimum. Then there was the HUGE disconnect between the office staff and the field staff. The left hand didn't know what the right was doing. One person told me I'd have to be there to meet the crew and go over the job, then another person told me I wouldn't, but then called back and said I did. On the day of our job, I was told they would arrive in the afternoon. I waiting from noon to 5pm with no word. When I called the next day, she said they came late (like 7pm at dark) and didn't realize it would be as hard as it was. Really? Why wouldn't the estimator know/document how hard it would be? They had to set up another appointment several days out. When I called each time, there were excuses and apologies galore, but no assurance that they would improve their systems. They had no problem punctually calling me the next day after it was done to ask for the other 1/2 of the invoice. If you go with them, please know what you're getting into.

We initially received an estimate in August from Harrison Fence.  The salesman was profession and helpful in determining the best layout.  He was also very helpful in making cost conscious decisions regarding the layout of the fence as we needed to go through a wooded area.  Due to the size of the project the install had to be scheduled ~4 weeks out which was normal based on other companies I had estimates from as well.  We had a lot of rain that delayed the project.  During this time the office did an excellent job of contacting us and letting us know the status of the scheduling.  I know she was on the phone all day with customers rescheduling but still returned my call when I had a question.  The installation crew did a great job.  My only complaint was that the actual footage was greater than when the estimator was on site; however i did not move any of their flags.  I think the installers used a bit more accurate measuring and it resulted in a couple hundred dollar change order.  Not a big deal in the project scope but I was caught a little of guard.  I think the salesman should have contacted me to discuss the variance.

Overall we are happy with the service from Harrison Fence with a couple of exceptions.  First of all, the site work was performed all in one day and it was a quality job. The estimating team was very helpful and accommodating. Ethan came to our house on a Saturday morning in the rain to do the property walk around and provide the estimate. After we agreed on the service, our neighbor installed a fence requiring an adjustment to the initial plan. Then we had to do another updated since our HOA changed the limits on how far we can run the fence. Ethan was always quick to provide the updates. The onsite work crew were very nice and extremely apologetic since they arrived late.
Our complains are centered around the work scheduler and the arrival time of the work crew. First of all, the work scheduler is incredibly gruff and often extremely rude. I wonder why a business would put someone with such a bad attitude in charge of working with customers. Then the day of the job came and the work crew was late by 10 minutes. We were given an arrival window of 8:30am to 9:30am. The crew arrived at 9:40 as I was leaving my house to go to work. My wife had to call several times to track down the crew. If we didn't call we would have had no idea if/when the crew was coming. When my wife complained, the work scheduler said the arrival time was "only an estimate". This is quite rude and unacceptable. I had to take off work to wait for the crew and such an attitude shows the lack of respect for customers.
We are happy with the work but would warn any potential customers that they can experience punctuality issues and bad attitudes.

Tim came out to talk to us about our needs, help us understand the options available and provided an estimate for the solution we chose. He was friendly, honest and great to work with. He really too the time to understand what we wanted and talk to us about cost and trade-offs with all the various options and designs available. The price was excellent as well. When the crew came out for installation, they were great as well. The crew leader was excellent and friendly. When they cut into a yard drain line (which was my fault for marking it in the incorrect location) they immediately set to work digging it up and fixing it without complaint. My yard had many intallation challenges that took a lot of effort to deal with. This caused the crew to work late into the evening, but I was pleasantly supprised that they did not start cuting corners. Even after it started to get dark, the crew was still dilligently working to ensure every detail was just right. They went above and beyond and I couldn't be happier.

They were a little slow returning initial email and phone call.  Installation of fence was done well aNd on schedule.  The fence is high quality. Removing the section and having it reinstalled went well except they scratched up the fence and we are still waiting for them to repair the damage to the stain.  In their defense the weather did get cold and then winter hit. I feel confident they will repair it now that the weather is improving.
