Carolina Management

It took them 6 months to rent the house and when they did finally rent it they failed to inform us that the renters had previously filed for bankruptcy. Once the house was rented, they failed to ensure that the renters had the utilities moved into their name. After four months of requesting they take care of this, we finally asked for the renter's email address so that we could ask them to get the water switched over to their name. Carolina Management refused to give us their email saying it was against the law. We had to get military lawyers involved to get the email address and it took one email to finally resolve the problem. We had a one year contract with them and cancelled their services at the end of that year. They however, withheld another 6 months of rental fees from the rent. We once again involved military lawyers who wrote to them several times stating that the terms of our contact ended with the one year and that they were not entitled to another 6 months of management fees. They withheld the fees from the last months rent anyway knowing that to fight it would require us to return to the states and file a claim in smalls claims court. I would never recommend this Management Company. We were very dissatisfied with their services and found their management practices, as well as integrity, highly questionable.
