BRADLEY'S CARPET & FLOORING

I called several local providers, and found they would not re-stretch carpet that they did not sell.  One provider gave me an extremely overpriced estimate of $275!  The nice people I talked with on the phone at Bradley's were helpful and professional.  The job was scheduled soon after I called, and two good carpet installers showed up on time.  They did a beautiful job re-stretching the carpet, and the price was very reasonable.  Excellent service.  The next time I need to purchase carpet or flooring, it will definitely be from Bradley's.

They were great. I found the company and its workers to be top notch and I highly recommend them.

Work was to be done in a newly purchased, empty house this past January, so nobody was there to observe the installation. The carpeting came out fine. The hardwood floors looked great at first, but then over a short time we began to notice cracks developing between the planks. Within a month almost 30% of the boards had cracks between them. After many unreturned phone calls, Bradley finally came to investigate. He took no responsibility for the multitude of spaces between boards and actually suggested we use WOOD FILLER for the cracks! A subsequent contractor said it was obvious that the hardwood boards were not brought into the house several days in advance to equilibrate to the temperature of the house. In winter this is a specific issue that flooring people deal with all the time. Based on the fact that the work was shoddy, they dodged our phone calls and took no responsibility for the poor workmanship, we would suggest anyone run, not walk away from this company. Now it will cost of many thousands of dollars to have the hardwood floors replaced correctly.

Update:  The carpeting they put in the upstairs hallway and loft area has started to show signs of becoming loose, where there are visible rolls where the carpet no longer lays flat on the floor.  Now we will have to have a different installer come out and hopefully relay the carpet correctly.

The owner of the company Brad came several weeks before the installation to measure for the carpet and give an estimate. Mr. Zadell arrived very promptly. He gave an detailed estimate. He placed the order for the carpet. The sales person in the showroom was helpful. She showed me several samples. She gave me time to think and look at the samples. On July 30, the workmen arrived on time and on the correct date. It took them about an hour to install the carpet. One workman appeared to be doing most of the work. They put in the carpet . They cleaned up the extra carpet and left .

They had only one professional contrator and unprofessional help. They came on time, but ran into an issue of completing the work on time. They ran out of materials too, and had to go to Home Depot to get those. They rushed and it reflected in quality of work. Dents and spacing between hardwoods. Next day came in to fix, but did not fix all the problems. They did not adjust the price for quality of work. Sloppy. Contractors help was unprofessional and suspicious looking.

From the estimate to the installation, I was very impressed. The sales rep. loaned me a few samples to take home and match with my current floor. The estimator was on time and gave me the estimate on the spot after he measured the room. The work was scheduled to begin within a week. When the big day arrived, Bradley appeared on time with his 2-man crew to walk through the work to be done, making suggestions such as framing the fireplace and turning the boards on the new floor to make the transition from the old to new floor look better. After the final instructions, he left. His crew took a full day to install the floor, which looks spectacular.
