HORRIBLE customer service unprofessional and constantly making errors on billing causing huge finance charges. Office manager Jasmine makes me dread calling for refills. I will be looking for new providers as soon as I can afford it! Do not use this company RUNNNNNN!!!!

I read the reviews on Angie's list for Apex Propane Service and they were great. Decided to give them a call since Ferrell Gas, our propane service for many years, had become so terrible to work with (unprofessional, rude, careless workers, unreponsive). Called Apex Propane on 2/18/16 and set up appointment foir them to come and assess where to place and how to connect the tank for our fire log set. Discovered they are now no longer Apex Propane Service ! They were taken over by Thompson Gas in January 2015, at which time they ceased RENTING propane tanks and began requiring customers to PURCHASE the tank as well as the gas! For the past 20 years, we've simply rented our 100 gal/120 lb. propane tank from Ferrell for $88 per year and paid to have it refilled at whatever the going price was for propane. However, Thompson Gas/Apex Propane would now require that I purchase the 120 lb/100 gal tank and the first gas supply in it for a grand total of $982.26. The cost of the gas quoted for this first fill was $1.49 per gal (all future fills would be at the going rate, currently $2.35/gal) so the cost of the tank itself is a walloping $833.26 ! As compared to a yearly rental of $88, this is simply unaffordable. I find it difficult to believe anyone would be willing to pay such an amount for a tank to hold gas to run a gas log set. I know I'm not. So, sadly, now that Apex Propane has been taken over by a larger company that's evidently more interested in profits than customer service, this company is no longer the same as the one that earned all those glowing Angies List reviews. Just wanted to warn people of this change. I'm just so very disappointed . . . was looking forward to working with a better propane dealer than Ferrell . . . finally.

Pleasant response by a human on the phone when I called. Appointment was set up to install a 250 lb propane tank to replace the 100 lb tank used to use. I was quoted an approx. price for the install in the $425 range. The price came in at $356. The install was neat and clean, tested and setup quickly and efficiently. The propane price was lower than the posted average online for the area. I am extremely pleased with Apex.

shopped around, their price is best. Just showed up with 4 tanks, went out back and got them filled.

New customer experience was fantastic. Friendly phone staff. Got the application to me by email and I was filled the very same day! Answered all my questions and helped me understand the process and even helped resolve an own/rent situation by calling another gas company for verification of ownership instead of making me track it down and fax. Another company I talked to wanted to make me drive out for the paperwork, charge an inspection and said they could get to me in few weeks. The driver was flexible with our locked gates and efficient and personable sharing personal information. All of this the day before new years. They have been back out to repair and service my gas logs. Every transaction is a pleasure.
