Apex Lock and Key Locksmith

I was worried because the old locks had different dimensions than ones sold today. The locksmith simply bored new holes over the old ones, so the new locks look original. I like the way the door, now, closes tightly against the weatherstripping. I think the price was reasonable.

They called back right away, showed up when they said they would and charged a reasonable fee.

Went smoothly, technician called ahead letting me know he was on his way. Work completed as requested.

Apex Lock and Key responded to our request for service almost instantaneously and sent a locksmith to our home immediately. The locksmith was thorough, courteous and professional. However, we purchased five key copies to our home but some keys do not work well in some locks and one key was bent.

I was really impressed - Juan showed up on time and was extremely knowledgable and courteous. He spent 3 1/2 hours working straight through with no break to replace the door knobs, strike plates, and deadbolts on three of my doors. He made sure my outside doors were keyed the same and that I had extra keys. Then he fixed the strike plates on my interior doors because they weren't shutting properly. I am very happy with Apex Lock and Key.

Apex Lock and Key was wonderful. They were able to come to our house the same day that I called, arrived on time, and gave us good recommendations on what locks to get. The pricing was straightforward and explained well to us so we were not surprised by anything on the bill. The locksmith that came out, Jose, was patient with us, explained things well, and did a great job. I would highly recommend them and would hire them again if we had a need for locksmith services in the future.

This was a fairly complicated job as the lock and doorknob on a sunroom metal door were out of alignment due to movement of structure. There was very little wiggle room to align the door so that it closed with ease without major reconstruction/removal of the door itself. The technican was awesome. He worked for several hours and replaced and realigned things till everything worked perfectly. Door seals properly, lock works fluidly and door handle closes without any exertion. New lock is exactly what I wanted and was keyed to match the house locks in my home. Totally satisfied with his professionalism and tenacity.

It went great considering the embarrassment. Apex Lock and Key arrived exactly when they said they would, completed the task of letting me in my home and charged exactly what they said they would. And, at my request, they offered some advice as to how I could improve my home security (without any sales pressure). I'd hire them again anytime, although I hope next time it is to install new locks on my home.

I called Apex Lock and Key Locksmith and spoke with John to set up an appointment to have a new deadbolt installed. John was very knowledge and quickly gave me an estimate and let me know that Juan would my locksmith for my appointment. On the day of the appointment, Juan called ahead to let me know that he would be on time. Juan was prompt, courteous, and diligent; he quickly installed my new deadbolt and then showed me how to configure it (keypad deadbolt).

Had them out when I first moved into my house 5 years ago to repair (I thought) a front door lock that I had difficulty opening. Turned out some idiot had installed a one-way security lock designed for an office so that once you left (i.e., when there was a fire), you couldn't get back in. So although there was a key to the front door, it almost never worked. The servicerman from Apex Lock and Key, although he'd never encountered this kind of lock before, stuck with it until he figured out the problem. It took a couple of trips to determine the problem and then get and install a new lockset, but I've had no problems with it since. The second visit was just recently, when the button on the garage door lockset stuck inside the door. A serviceman came out the same day and replaced it. Then that afternoon, I noticed it was difficult to get the deadbolt to line up and lock properly, so I called back. The same serviceman came out, spent about 20 minutes working on the alignment and fixed it at no charge. (The cost of the service is from this visit and includes the charge for the new lockset.) Very happy with these folks, and they're opening a store in Cary, as well. Highly recommend them.

Juan came and did a great job. He was right on time, extremely polite and very neat and thorough. He explained to me the problem with one of the locks. It had been in the door for years. I decided to go ahead and replace that door knob/lock system. He checked every lock and key with me before leaving.
