BLEVINS HEATING & COOLING

On Sunday one of our heat pumps stopped working and the thermostat did not seem to have power to it. After leaving a message Sunday night with Blevins Heating and Cooling, Bruce returned our call the next day. A service call was then scheduled for the following day. Bruce ran a thorough check on the connections and wiring finding that our thermostat had been fried by either a storm or power surge. He replaced the existing thermostat with an an upgraded Honeywell unit.
Bruce installed the heating and cooling systems when the house was built in 2008 (due to the size of the house, it required two units); he did a great job. We always call Blevins when we have a question or a problem. Bruce has always been responsive, punctual, personable and professional.

After doing a couple jobs, they ran into some family health problems. It was very hard to get a hold of them and I finally gave up. Initially I was quite impressed when he came out a couple of times when we really needed to have our heating system fixed. I wouldn't use them again in the future because I had so much trouble getting him here the last time I tried.

Bruce Blevins is the guy I dealt with. He did a good job. He had to replace some parts for plugging the lines. The repair work was around $300 and part of it was insured, but I don't remember the price for the initial installation. He is a pretty knowledgeable person and pretty smart. He hadn't installed a hot water heater before, but he learnt. He was pretty quick in learning. He is very cordial, friendly and dependable. There was a time when he said he didn't want to come out since they had to charge an initial $60 to come because it was away for us. He said that he wanted me to try first so that he didn't have to come out and charge us the fee as it could be avoided. So, he gave me some instructions to follow. That's when I found out that I really did need a repair because it didn't work, but he gave me instructions on how to avoid the fee. So, I don't think he is out to gouge you. He has been very good in responding whenever I have called him. He will tell you if he cannot make it. He has come when he said he would be here. I would give him top marks for his professionalism. I would definitely use his services in the future too.
