AGS CONSTRUCTION SVC

December, 2013 we just finished having the whole job redone because the AGS job was done so badly that the windows leaked and the wood underneath rotted complete with black mold all the way to the basement.  We had workmen in our house with the whole livingroom wall GONE & the hole covered with plastic for over 3 months. 

A couple of weeks after AGS finished we called G. Shuford because we had leakage around 4 of the windows after a storm.  After many calls he finally returned our call, came and looked, and left telling us he would "get back to us".  He sent workmen to caulk. The leakage continued.  He had the window providers attempt to fix the problem to no avail. This process was over many months.

We called Shuford numerous times over the next several months to no avail. We finally reached him & he told us face-to-face he could not do anything else and that he did "not know how to fix it", he was "through messing with it" because if was "beyond my capability", and refused us further service.

George is a great resource for anyone who needs work done on their home.  He is honest as the day is long, polite and reliable.  You feel very safe leaving him alone in the house to work.  The finished product is beautiful.  We are in the process now of working with him on a remodel of  our garage into a family room, and the removal of a closet to expose the steps to the upstairs.  We have worked with George on several projects over the past 9 years, and would recommend him for almost any project you can think of.

Many times, some of the subcontractors were late, therefore the ones on time waited for the others to get there, meaning I am paying the ones that are sitting in their vehicles waiting.  The above mentioned owner never showed up once the agreement to do the work was began. It was a cost plus situation, so the plus was added onto time spent for every detailed minute, including the time I paid for waiting on subcontractors.  Additionally, my neighbor contracted to have work done at the same time, and the cost charged was much more than the agreed upon price, in addition to the painting not completed.

Workers arrived on time and were courtious. Due to limited space, workers needed to move large furniture from each end of the room as flooring was layed.  Workers were very careful with the care of furniture during installation.

I highly recommend AGS Construction services. George let us know exactly what we needed (and made what we estimated would take 2 weeks) they had finished in 4 days. They were clean, fast, and worked like a well oiled machine.
