Heating and Air Conditioning Service
After the compressor change out, mom had an electric bill of $300 july and a $288 dollar August bill.
I myself am a former HVAC contractor and checked moms unit today. The compressor isn't bolted down and is spinning on start up, a capacitor is hanging down and is a fire hazard, the coils weren't cleaned per industry procedures. All this was supposed to be performed during the compressor change out. I called the owner and he said that he would fix it Monday.
The owners Father of the owner in Gaffney N.C. just called me and tried to get us to accept that fact that " if we didn't bill you for that, it shouldn't have been done and you are wrong to thing we should have done it." Making excuses for the shoddy workmanship.
He then went into a little spiel about how "we don't even take new customers and you should understand the favor we did for your mother".
I finally told him that we want the job finished, as we have already paid for it ....at which point he began cursing and swearing at me.
I had to hang up on him as he was so foil mouthed.
We are contacting another company to come out and make the correct repairs, document the safety hazard and negligence.
We are also contacting an attorney to sue for re-imbursement.
