CREED & GARNER ROOFING CO INC

Creed and Garner Roofing (CGR) installed a brand new roof on my home in late August 2020. Toward the end of November, a major leak was noticed in the interior ceiling of my home. Cutler Creed with CGR came out to review and spent hours on the roof applying roofing adhesive/caulk. Mr. Creed indicated that the adhesive would be a temporary fix and that a team would need to come back out to replace the bridge vents because they were not installed properly. Instead of returning to fix the faulty worksmanship, CGR sent me an unexpected email claiming that the water was coming from the air handler instead, not the roof. Since then, we have had three different inspectors come to the house –an HVAC inspector, a roofing inspector, and an insurance claims investigator. All three inspectors determined the leak to be coming from the massive holes in the roof. CGR continues to deny the problem and refuses to remedy their faulty worksmanship.

Didn't call or show up on the original day they were supposed to, I called them and they gave me a new day which they arrived on time for. It's been almost a month, and they still haven't made it back out to finish installing the cap metal that they didn't have enough of when the job was originally done. Nothing major, just one piece on the shed, but we would like to have the job completed. I stopped by their office after 1.5 weeks to inquire, was told it would probably be done in the next couple of days. Waited two more weeks, called and inquired again and also mentioned that I am now developing water spots on my kitchen ceiling. Call was returned later that afternoon, scheduling for the next day, weather dependent. We had rain the following morning, heard nothing from them in the afternoon. No surprises here. Biggest complaint is total lack of communication coming from their end. As a paying customer, I don't care how busy you are, I would still appreciate a telephone call updating us on your intentions, so we can plan accordingly. I am obviously concerned with the water marks on my ceiling that may be a one time thing, may be a serious problem, which we didn't have before deciding to put on a NEW roof! I have also been picking up nails and debris on a daily basis since the job was started. The crew out here cleaned up, and ran the magnet, but it missed a lot. Not angry about having picked up literally dozens of nails, just disappointed.

I've seen since then were they never even nailed the shingles in. After the fact, I'm disappointed with the service.
