John (the owner) went to other appointments DURING his service at my place.   How did he do it?   During my repair, he told me he had to go buy parts - I thought it was weird that he didn't have the parts with him.  I waited and waited, and he was gone for about 2.5 hours.  I tried to reach his cell phone, but he didn't pick up nor did he return my text. I finally called his business number and talked to his wife.   She told me he was at a different appointment!!! WHAT???? I was fuming.  When he came back after 3.5 hours (literally), he told me he couldn't reply back to me b/c he was busy. When I confronted him about what his wife told me, he raised his voice and said he's trying to help ME...

It was positive experience. They responded immediately. They were quick ,efficient, and reasonable priced.

Our seventeen year old Frigidaire refrigerator all the sudden went silent and appeared to not be cooling anymore. I suspected the worst because of its age and the fact that there has been a lot of condensation lately. I tried the basics like resetting the thermostat, unplugging and plugging the unit but was non-responsive. I called the phone number listed and got a live voice, and a confirmation that he would show up two hours later. He was in fact a bit early. He explained the issue and did not try to oversell.

He didn't even look at my stove. I told him what was going on and he said he knew what it was. I asked him to look at the stove to make sure but he refused. He said he has been doing the job for 20 years and didn't need to look at would order the part. I told him to just leave and not to worry about ordering the part.

John is the and quot;white knightand quot; of his field. He is quick to respond, and is very good at figuring out what needs to be done, and fixing it. He makes excellent suggestions, keeping in mind the simplest, longest lasting, and least expensive solutions. It is good to be able to call a repairman who is so honest and trustworthy and very knowledgeable about all appliances. He also mentioned that he works on furnaces and air conditioning as well, and I will certainly call him for that as well when the need arises. His service was a very big contrast to a large appliance dealer in the area where we bought the washer less than a year ago who offers a 5 - year warranty with each purchase, and then would not stand behind that warranty in any way.

I called these guy's to fix my refrigerator on a saturday when a home football game was going on. They were at my door within a half hour and immediately correctly diagnosed the problem. They got the refrigerator working temporarily again and returned to install the JAZZ board that they ordered 5 days later. They are professional, personable and knowledgeable in refrigerator repair. My refrigerator is just 3 years old and their price was a small fraction of what a replacement refrigerator would have cost.

My washer flooded the day before. I got a good response time from John at A to Z. He brought his daughter with him who is learning the business. They couldn't find anything wrong with the washing machine, so I guess it was one of those fluke things since it has been fine ever since. I was charged a $49 service fee, which was less than what some other places were charging for the service fee.I also asked him to check out my dryer hoses and make sure everything looked ok and they didn't need replacing since I had them for 13 years and he said they were fine.

I was able to get an appointment very quickly and John was right on time. He was very personable and easy to talk to. He looked at the dryer and seemed to know immediately what was wrong. He had the part with him and was able to replace the thermal fuse on the spot. I don't have a great frame of reference for price but I didn't think $100 for the service call, labor and parts was bad. He told me that if it happened again he would come out for free and I would just need to pay for the part.
I was very impressed with John and A to Z Appliance. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone!

Talked for over an hour on his political views. Said he would order the part and get back. Took about 10 days to get back. (No washer for 10 days) Bill did not break down service and part cost. I thought the price was high--checked on a website to see what the part price should have been and it was under $100.
