Mark was aware of our new house purchase well in advance. We closed and handed keys to an empty house to him so that his crew would have a full week to get the work done. We could never get an exact answer on when his crew was to show up. Occasionally we would have 1 or 2 guys on site doing the work then 3-4 days of nothing. The work they did wasn't bad but here's where the problem starts. We specified what paint we wanted from what manufacture, he went with a different manufacture of paint for both the walls and trim. The walls turned out great but the baseboard trim/doors ect turned out horrible. They used a can of Sherwin Williams paint that looked like it was on a shelf for a few years, that was not what we specified that does not match the rest of the house. Keep in mine we made it clear we would pay for the paint we wanted.
Additionally the doors were painted in a halfassed manner. They are horrible. We are now going to have to hire someone else to do it right. When confronted it was made clear that it wasn't the paint but the doors themselves that they cant be painted. BS... we had no problem with the one side we painted our self.
The crew on the garage did a decent job but I have taped joints that are bubbling out as well as mud that didn't adhere to the wall. They started to paint the garage but stopped. We kept leaving messages for Mark and never got a response. We even text messaged him as we know that he uses them and yet again no response. We paid $1500 up front for a $3000-$3500 estimate. We do feel that we got $1500 worth of work out but we have never been treated so poorly by anyone in our life. I tell everyone I meet to stay as far away from this guy as possible. He will take your money do a poor job and pass blame. Even his crew had bad things to say about Mark as they worked.
