Be aware of the contract he has you sign. It protects him but not you, the owner. Work was substandard, we got charged for 2-3 foreman on the same job at the same time, materials were charged but not used, what he said did not match what he said he would do. Built 4 houses, the worst contractor I have ever worked for. He has a great lawyer that protects him and has the contract iron-clad so he cannot be sued for breach of contract because you give all those rights away in the contract.
