LAWSON FLOORING

Overall I am very satisfied and would recommend Lawson. The job was to remove carpeting and a little hardwood, prep flooring, install hardwood and transitions, etc. They ran into a host of issues with our house (1974 build with some suspected issues). We had water damage in 3 places, two of which were fairly involved. Lawson alerted me to the issue and came up with fast solutions that were fair priced. I had to replace a door to a deck and they went with me to Lowes to pick up a new door and drove it to my house and installed it next day to not slow down things too much. The second water damage area they had a 3rd party out in a day to replace part of my deck and much of the baseboard around my foundation that was totally rotted. They guy they brought out did amazing work. This job went a month long when it was quoted to be around 6 business days. I would say that of the 14 extra days (compared to quote), maybe 9 or 10 were due to complications (and things like using drier and dehumidifier to dry sub floors) and 4 to 5 days of the delay were their pacing. On that note - at times it felt like they were not working as fast or as focused as I would have liked . . . but it needs to be said they were a decent bit cheaper for the same wood than some other local places. So I think that is sort of a fair trade. They were detail oriented and clearly cared about their work and I would use them or recommend them again without hesitation. But I would suggest you take their proposed timelines with a grain of salt. Only real complaint is that at times Jeff Lawson can be unclear or vague when talking to him. I have no ill feelings about the final bill but to be honest there were times where I was not given real clear information on what some changes or issues were going to cost. You have to kind of press him.
